All of my flip-ovets get a ruler sticker on the perpendicular pole on both sides of the sled.

    Any rock hounds ?

The Face of North Dakota by Bluemle is a great resource on North Dakota Geology. I'm working on a collection of soil horizons. I do have a gypsum crystal that's bigger than a gold ball, trilobites, pieces of the Brenna and Sherack formations and some other odds and ends.

Any idea what made these tracks?

Accurate, blaster, and Storm Troopers in the same sentence is an oxymoron.

    Brat recipes

Here are some good recipes from NDSU Extension. I've made some buffalo beats from owens, but added high temp blu cheese and those turned out pretty good. A standby are bohemian short bologna and I get that seasoning in Grafton...

Another waste of time in the legislature imo - end daylight savings time

I'm indifferent, but the whole state needs to move to central time. 4pm sunset in December and sunrise at 3am in June sucks.

    Smitty Sled

Here are some better pics of the smitty with my hub house. I bought each son a small bucket for their rods and stuff and make them carry it to and from. Then they sit on the buckets. This is no where near as mobile as the voyager fish trap, but this fits in the van, easily loads/unloads, and...

    Songbird

At the beginning of this whole thing (last February), my boss at the time told me stock up and be prepared to go 6 months. I laughed at her and she asked, "what will I do if I run out of food?" I informed her that I'm a farm kid who hunts and fishes, my family and I will be fine.

    Ice Auger

Could you get a cordless drill adaptor for the Jiffy and put a Milwaukee drill on it? Jiffy augers spin backwards compared to the other brands/drill bits, so you'd have to put the drill in reverse. Maybe that's tough on the drill.

    Smitty Sled

I would still put the strips on the sled. It increases the life of the fish trap sled, especially if you end up parking a bit from the ice and have to drag the sled on a gravel road. It even makes a difference in the otter sleds.

    Smitty Sled

The hyfax strips you bolt to the fish trap help some with pulling straight, but the strips are more so to protect the sled and do not reduce pulling stress.

    Smitty Sled

Pulling with the smitty makes a world of difference as there's much less friction. I haven't pulled it through the snow yet. I've only been going a few hundred yards at a time with it on ice and gravel and it pulls much nicer. I ordered a hub and will pair the smitty with a jet sled. I can get...
