    Meat eater sells out

I'm with dblkluk on this one. If anyone knows the company First Lite clothing. Ryan Callaghan left there to join the Meat Eater Company. Picked up from Idaho to move to Bozeman. Ryan's a advocate to the outdoors and the protection of public land. I doubt he would stake his reputation leaving...

    Northern

You might think I'm cazy; but when I use to ice fish for pike we use to fish all the way to 40 feet with tip-ups and Smelt. And had good success. I don't think the 20 lb pike are down on Sakakawea they just live were the smelts at and they're living out in that 25 feet and deeper. You do want to...

    grills/smokers

I run a Pit Boss and have had really good luck with it. The most inportant part in running a pellet smoker is to keep it as clean as you possibly can. We cook on ours @ least 3 times a week. So I figured that if i can clean it every 3 months that should be good, and it's seemed to work for me...

    2019 outdoor goals

Hopefully I'll finally make it to Montana for a DIY black bear hunt. Hunt muley's with the bow a lot more. Fish more bass tournaments.

    Smallmouth bass tackle

Top water buzzbaits, and poppers work well. I'm going to try whopper ploppers more this season as well. Spinner baits in different sizes and blade configurations. Mainly willow leaf blades on spinner baits have worked the best for me. My all time favorite is a some type of jig. Swim jig styles...

    Shooting at bigfoot

Remember when that guy outside of Kalispell MT, he was wearing a ghillie suit running out on the highway pretending to be Big Foot. I'm pretty sure he died, or @ least was hurt real bad.

    Jigging rap rod

7 foot Medium Heavy Moderate action in a St. Croix Walleye tournament & I also like the 6'8" Medium Fast Action also in the Walleye Tournament. The 7 footer is my favorite, helps keep fish on. I also like using Flat Jigs so the MH works better for me. I use 10# fireline with a 15# Floro leader.

    Vexan crystal reaper

The way the trebble hook wire is made its too long; the Crystal treble hook shank is also to long. I've tried a few & have caught some fish with them but they need to be redesined some. It gets old having to reel up and fix the rap & it happens a lot with the vexan. I even tried a mustad triple...

    Montego Bay, Jamaica

We stayed @ the Ibero Star resort in Montego Bay. It was a very nice place to stay and its all inclusive food, drinks, 24 hour room service. You gotta get off the resorts and mingle with the people. Jamaica is place full of culture and all around good people. Its poor but everyone is very...

    Brendles Resort Question

The owners name is Harley. I have friends that have left Brendles because of his bad attitude. But don't get this mixed up with the North Camping area. That is county ran, and is a nice place to stay if you like camping.

    NWT Tourney

If the Temps hold here in North Dakota the NWT tournament might be really good. It was tough to see them schedule it so early; but with warming temps and with a rise in the lake we'll see. I believe @ least 90% of the lake is open. There were a lot great fisherman that are good @ fishing the...

    Goose Calls

In 1998 I started using Wing Lock Calls made by Rick Perry. I have tried other calls but always went back to Wing Lock. Rick is a really good guy. I've called him about replacement reeds and he's supplied me with replacements every time I've asked. He'll send not just one reed but multiple. He...

    End of Ice Fishing

Sakakawea has come up 2.7 feet since the beginning of March. We've had a lot of reports of bad ice along lake shores. The forecast for runoff the rest of the weekend looks to be in the 55,000 cfs. The releases out of the dam are below 14,000; so the lake could come up another 1 to 1.5 feet...
