    Ice Roads

The lake I am talking covers 307000 acres. It is not a small featureless bowl with 1 piece of structure. I’m glad you get your exercise walking out on a refuge! More power to ya

    Ice Roads

Please show me a law about required distances you have to stay away from tip ups while driving? I know it’s 50’ for setting up another house and 10’ when drilling holes next to other houses. Don’t get me wrong, I would never set up a house within a quarter mile of another house.

    Ice Roads

I never alluded to or stated it was illegal. It is just inconsiderate to force other sportsmen to put their life and gear at risk to cross a pressure ridge in a new spot.

    Ice Roads

I am not one to complain often, but I witnessed something today that just irks me. At white earth bay there is a pressure ridge that crosses the mouth of the bay. A main road crosses the bay to get the the east shore line where the road then crosses the pressure ridge approximately 40 feet off...

    2018 Fish House Project

I have a 28”x44” piece of commercial glass for natural light in mine. I enjoy the extra light during the day and the warm sun shines in. I built mine using a Milton’s frame also and insulated metal panels. Going on 3 seasons with it. Have pulled it approximately 1500 miles and no problems thus far.

Moving to and living in Williston question?

Fishing has been awful good the last 3 weeks within 15 miles of town. Williston is not as bad as everyone in the East talks about. There are a lot of younger people in town and exciting opportunities if you know how to work.

Are you lazy, if so this is for you!

I'm pretty sure the guy you are talking about is selling way points of structure that is easily found using google earth. 50$ for 5 coordinates or something crazy. Atleast it keeps the Sconis and Blue Platers all in the same spots! Half the fun of going fishing for me is finding my own structure...

    Tip up box

Loosing fish was also one of my concerns, but we will see what happens. Building a few of these just gives me something to tinker with in the garage before freeze up happens.

    Tip up box

I'm planning on only taking these out with my perm. They would take up too much room in my sled or on my wheeler. If I'm driving the pick up out, I would take them too.

    Tip up box

They are called bite me boxes. http://www.boxtipups.com/. I currently do the half moon wind break and use the round insulated tip ups. It just seems that if the fish are finicky, the standard tip up half covered in snow trips the flag so hard

    Tip up box

I know it's a little early to start thinking about ice fishing, but I wanted to see if anyone else was using a tip up box to keep their tip up holes open etc. The ones I've seen are about 14"x14" wood box with a rattle reel and heat source. There is a company out there that wants $100 for these...

    Lowrance ice fishing

From everything i have read, the tri-beam is hands down a better transducer than the proview. I wonder why you can't by the 28 with the tri-beam? I spose its vexilar's way of pushing the proview.

    Lowrance ice fishing

Mate you using a proview or tribeam transducer on the 28? Looking to upgrade from my 20 to a 28 and heard the proview transducer was lacking in shallow water

Well this is going to get interesting

Thanks for the info. I guess I will just take 8 down to 12 and across. I always enjoyed driving 1806, but I guess not this time.

Well this is going to get interesting

I'm headed down to mobridge tomorrow. Usually take 1806, but just curious if it would be faster to take a different route. Pulling a perm so I don't want to have to turn around or something stupid. Is there a information point now instead of a check pt

Well this is going to get interesting

They must have sent a few guys over to the Vikings game! Pretty ballsy.. note the two guys rappelling off the structure
