Chip the 200 pro on that Yar and hang on. It’s a screamer. The size of the nitro is really something for an 18footer. Both very nice boats that will handle some big water
watched a guy dump his new tyee with a shiny mercury 150 on the ramp at Audubon years ago. He had a roller trailer and his buddy unhooked it at top of ramp before backing in....whoops... The sound of that lower unit hitting the concrete was worse than fingernails on a chalkboard. Totaled!
Both my 2006 225 Opti on a Yar-craft 1895 Storm & my current 2013 200 Opti on a Yar-Craft 186 will both do right on 3 mpg at WOT. In both cases, the motors both use +-20 gph at WOT and both boats will flirt with 60 mph. By my math, that equates to 3 mpg.
