oil bath hubs. (Cool Hubs made by a compny named UFP) Never had an issue with them, just check and fill when necessary, which is not often, maybe once a couple years.
That sounds like something I’m gonna try.
Most of the time I just skin them out (don’t pluck anymore), cut them up in various size strips and either throw them on the grill with some light seasoning or bread and fry up just like chicken fingers. Yum Yum
I have a couple of the crank canvas. They work good. Can store them anywhere without the hassle of rectangular boxes, although do use the crank caddy too. Neither are cheap.
Ever consider river fishing for Rainbow and Grayling? Spent two summers doing that. Walk along miles of river. It’s quiet, serene, just you and the mosquitos. When I think of Alaska that’s what comes to mind. I seem to be the minority though
