    Thanks Nick for the update.

    SB 2315 - In Cmte 3/14 - ACTION REQUIRED!

I have coffee with a bunch of farmers every morning and most of my relatives are/were farmers. Haven't heard one of them back this anti-public hunting bill. It is a small percentage pushing it from ND Stockmen and Farm Bureau. I know some of the past officers from the Corn Growers and the...

    SB 2315 - In Cmte 3/14 - ACTION REQUIRED!

The word is that 2315 is changed again and will be a statewide no trespass bill. There will not be an app. This bill will hit all outdoor users, not just hunters. Nick listed the House email in his first post below. They all need to hear a Do Not Pass. Copy, Paste, Send.

    SB 2315 - In Cmte 3/14 - ACTION REQUIRED!

The bill has to come out of committee before too long because they are running out of time for the session. Letting Gov. Burgum know your thoughts is a good idea. https://www.governor.nd.gov/contact-us

    SB 2315 - In Cmte 3/14 - ACTION REQUIRED!

The legislature is running out time to act on Senate Bill 2315 this session. There has to be a reason the Ag Committee is holding back from sending it to the House floor for a vote. That does not look good for sportsmen. Monday, April 1st, they are holding yet another hearing in the Ag...

    SB 2315 - In Cmte 3/14 - ACTION REQUIRED!

Apparently it is hitting some bumps. Nothing said yet about a cap on expenditures on this bill so it must be an open ended line item.

That quote would be the best letter to the editor for every newspaper in the state.

Good luck with the pup, nothing like a pup to put some action in the house.

    Sharp-tails/ MT

Back in the early 80s I hunted antelope between Circle and Jordan. It looked like grouse country but I didn't have a dog along. Next fall I'd like to go back for birds with the dogs and a small camper for a week or so. Thought maybe some here might have big game experience in the area and could...

    SB 2315 - In Cmte 3/14 - ACTION REQUIRED!

Nothing burger. Over the years Farm Bureau has similar signs four or five times. The funny one was "No Hunting Until Wheat Reaches $5.00." The next winter wheat went up past 5 and the signs were still there the next year. Keep up the pressure on the legislature. This bill might dissolve into...

    SB 2315 - In Cmte 3/14 - ACTION REQUIRED!

When the vote on 2315 is held check the Yeas and Nays against the vote on 1428, the Missouri River Land Grab. That vote is here: The question being on the final passage of the bill (1428), which has been read, and has committeerecommendation of DO NOT PASS, the roll was called and there were...

    SB 2315 - In Cmte 3/14 - ACTION REQUIRED!

Received 3 replies, 1 was just thanks, 1 was the canned response above, and 1 was against 2315. You'd think 140,000 hunters would give a damn but apparently it's too much work to take 5 minutes to protect hunting.

    SB 2315 - In Cmte 3/14 - ACTION REQUIRED!

I emailed too and thanks for the update on the hearing. I also requested a reply from my 2 House members. They aren't going to slide if they vote for this, I want them on the record.

    Grafting

The reason I was thinking of the grafting is that while there are clumps of both shrubs around the area very few produce decent fruit. But some seem to do much better than others.

    Grafting

I know nothing about it but wondered if chokecherries and juneberries could be grafted onto established root stock? There are a few clumps of both along the RR that really produce nice fruit and thought about taking cuttings to try to establish the same result closer to home.

    Garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kurt, do you freeze the asparagus? If so how? We really like it but can't eat that much when it is bearing and would like to freeze for later.

    Garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm no authority on grapes but have propagated many from cuttings and it is easy and cheap. Just google "grapes from cuttings". I used half gallon paper milk cartons for each vine and when they were ready to transplant just slid the vine and dirt out the bottom of the carton so there was little...

    Updated SB 2315 Online

njsimonson, thanks for the update. As for helping a farmer that doesn't help much to have a non-farmer around. Have somebody slug your combine cylinder and spend hours on repairs. Stab himself with a pitchfork, damage his back shoveling, no thanks, insurance is high enough. Pheasants are like...
