    Tried to sign up when I was a Senior in high school. But a car accident my sophomore year which ended with screws and a plate in my neck, none of the branches would take me. 20 years later I still wish I could have served.

    Thanks for the input guys. After trying a few things it looks like I am pretty limited to the dash. Can’t hang it from the crossbar, wiper motor and rear view mirror are in the way and I I don’t have very good access to the rollbars due to the cab.

    I am planning on mounting an HDS7 in my Ranger. For those of you that have done this what type of mounting bracket did you use and where did you install? Not against drilling holes but don’t want to have to drill more then once. Thanks for any input.

    Just wondering what you guys have done to your flipovers to make it easier or more enjoyable to use. So far I've added an LED light bar and coat hooks. I've been thinking about building a removable shelf of sorts so I can keep some of the more fragile stuff from getting beat up by my buckets...

    I think they are OK. The ram doesn't travel up and down nearly as easily as my Rockchucker. I contacted Lee about the problem and was told it would smooth out after I used the press for awhile, hasn't happened yet. But the price wasn't bad and I only load up plinking rounds for my pistols on it...

    Slow death hook brands

    Just an update. Tried the Tro Kar revolve hooks last week on Devils Lake. These hooks are very sharp and don't bend nearly as easy as the Mustad hooks. Snagged a few good size tree branches that I was able to the surface and they kept their shape. So for now these will be the hooks I'll be using.

    Fishing Alone?

    I fish alone most of the time. My job is shift work so I have alot of time during the week to fish while others are work. At first I enjoyed camping and fishing with groups of people but now I've come to like how quiet the camp grounds and ramps are in the middle of the week.

    I just pick up some of the Cabelas version of these called the walleye-a-plug. Havent heard of anyone catching much with them on Sak. but maybe I'll have better luck.

    I have used the Mustad brand hooks but seems like I miss more bites the with them then fishing with other style hooks. Have any of you had the same problem? Has anyone had better luck with another brand( if there is on) or a similar style?

    Brother in law had a Salem house that he traded off for a Ice Castle. After he fished out of my Ice Castle he claimed it stayed warmer then the Salem did. The one thing I didn't like about the Salem is how slow the electic jacks are, and they seem to use alot of battery to run up and down...
