I am planning on mounting an HDS7 in my Ranger. For those of you that have done this what type of mounting bracket did you use and where did you install? Not against drilling holes but don’t want to have to drill more then once. Thanks for any input.

A friend of mine had a RAM mount that was clamped to the window bar. It worked with the hds 5 we used. it was the kind you can strap to a trolling motor shaft.

A few friends have hung them from the top window cross bar. It's out of the way and hanging down, you don't need a huge rammount.

Thanks for the input guys. After trying a few things it looks like I am pretty limited to the dash. Can’t hang it from the crossbar, wiper motor and rear view mirror are in the way and I I don’t have very good access to the rollbars due to the cab.
