    This was part of what I was discussing with the G&F when it was brought up before. They don't want to do that because they claim they wouldn't be able to manage the rifle units then. There was talk of tweaking the lottery for this and there were some good ideas but nothing ever came of it.

    What I have found, is that if the spine of the arrow isn't correct for the bow set up you are shooting, you are going to have a heck of time getting fixed blade heads to fly right with the field points. I also think this is why some people choose to go to mechanicals instead of fixed blades...

    Momentum is where it is at folks. Speed and KE are great and all but if the momentum isn't there, all the speed and energy you think you have in the arrow is zapped the minute it hits an animal even if you don't hit bone. Personal experience speaking here.

    Im guessing mine will be running around 280 with a 440 grain arrow. I need to check . Not that it matters though. They are still zipping along pretty good. the speed and flat trajectory is great for 3D but not so great for hunting.

    Mine are rated at 350 but with my shorter draw length I don't get that. If i shoot absolute min weight arrows I'll get 310 or so. Unless you have a draw length of 30" you won't get the listed speed. That's what it is calculated off of.
