    Buying a used wheelhouse

I really dont think it matters what kind of house you buy. When you pull a house accross a lake with snow banks or plowed roads. Your going to beat them up. If you look in the mirror and watch the top of the house sway back and forth its amazing any of them hold up. Try pulling a camper accross...

5.6 ft box pulling a fifh wheel

Most people running 1/2 tons dont have the right ply tires to pull any amount of weight. You need 8 or 10 ply tires. That extra stiffness in the sidewall will stop a lot of the whipping. Your tires dont flex as much so less whipping. Same with trailers, they need good ply tires. The tires you...

5.6 ft box pulling a fifh wheel

Most all pickup will pull that load down the highway at 75 mph. Try stopping that load. I ran a F350 for many yrs. I know how they brake. Good luck I have seen Farmer/Ranchers pulling 30 to 40 ft stock trailers down thehighway with a load of cattle. Same thing they will pull it, just damn...

    String Trimmers

I also have this one. I did away with the string and put a saw blade on it. You do want to stay away from the flower bed and small trees. It is so nice and it chops everything in site. If I have a branch hanging down when I mow I just walk up to it with the trimmer and its gone.

Dog Training Suggestions - German Shorthair Pointer

Hunt em up is a release command in the field ----- that one was bred into the dog -- i think every hunting dog has that one bred in. Do you really believe a command is bred into them??? The word fetch is not bred into a dog either. It is what most people say,but not bred into them. I had a...

Dog Training Suggestions - German Shorthair Pointer

We have all had dogs both good and bad. If you want a good hunting dog it has to be obedience. That is the number one rule. No one can teach a dog to hunt. He either has it or he doesnt. Take the dog for a walk every morning and evening. Talk to it tell it what you want him to do. When im...

    Why are trailer bearings lousy?

Its not always the bearing its cheap spindles. Most of the trailers being sold by the big box stores are buying cheap spindles with little to no tolerances in size. When you have a spindle that is .010 to .015 small the seal no matter the brand cant do its job and allows water and contaminants...

    Tractors

Everyone should be deaf that drove tractors back in the 50's thru the 70's. Any tractor with a cab was worse then with out a cab. I remember digging summer fallow back in the eary 70's with a 4020 with a cab no AC and having the windows and door open and a whirlwind came into the cab. The...

    Tractors

I have a 1962 IH 504 gas that I have a 7 ft 2 stage snowblower and 6 ft tiller to keep it busy. No need to plug it in, as it starts and purrs like a fuel injected kitten. The torque assist is very handy when blowing in deep snow or for tilling. I bought it 6 yrs ago at a farm auction for...
