    How hard is it to get an elk tag in ND?

    I think that's dumb. haha Why should other people lose another chance at getting an elk tag because you were unprepared and didn't fill you tag? Also Montana is a huge state with a shit ton more elk than ND. Comparing elk hunting in ND to MT is apples to oranges.

    I'll be in 4D. Walleye101 decided it would be a good idea to get married opening weekend of deer season. So I have to drive all the way to Devils Lake Saturday after my quick morning hunt. Hopefully I'll be tagged out Friday and not have to worry about that. Highly doubt it though.

    dropping a few minnows in a fish tank with some hungry perch is fun to watch I used to have perch, blue gill, northern and walleyes in a tank. The smaller the fish the better.

    lol. I'm thinking the same. That's why I'm hunting everyday. - - - Updated - - - I think Friday could be pretty slow for hunting pressure. 66 degrees and its obviously a week day. - - - Updated - - - #the forecast sucks - - - Updated - - - can't kill from the couch though.

    I would never ever consider that. that's messed up. I would maybe put a stand up in the next tree but hunt from someone elses stand? I don't like confrontation. Hunting someone elses stand is just asking for it.

    the "game and fish" is in charge of game and fish not camping. good to know on state land. I've camped on state land many times. oops! Actually I think a game warden came and talked to me at my camp on state land once. He didn't throw me in cuffs and put me in jail though.

    Some people say they need them but I personally don't. To me the extra power is way worth it. I do a lot of western big game hunting and the 12 power negates the need to use my spotting scope many times.

    Nikon monarchs, Leupold or vortex in the dollar range would all be comparable. I have two sets of monarchs and the wife has a pair of Leupolds. Those are all 10x42 I have a pair of 12x50 Swarovski. So I don't use the others very much

    linton and hazelton will have majority off by deer season. Some guys have a 1k acres or more off already. But you always have the guys that are late. the weather forcast looks good for harvest.
