    retirement, good or sucks

Also stay active, active, active. I hate to scare anyone but how many times do you see a person retire then die a short time later. Not sure what that retiring does? Keep a small part time job to for as long as possible. Think it forces you to stay organized, moving and planning which keeps...

    retirement, good or sucks

Well I live in Webster and like you said how people keep popping up...well happens here too. All you MN guys decide to retire and move here. We don't love it either but what do you do? That's not a knock on you personally but we see thousands of blue platers all yr long. Then they move here...

    Heidi

Hi fat content is more important that hi protein. Especially hunting season and winter. At her age I would just get hi fat food and feed table scraps often. At her age she's earned it.

    Who's happier Men or Women

This is a tad too vague and sorta not true for me. I am no relationship expert but this lumps us all into one group each which isn't fair. My friends girls and guys are so diverse it's amazing and challenging. Which is good! My wife is the best person I know by a mile. She is so much better...

Hundreds of Yellowstone bison to be culled this winter

dumb question but if too many buffalo, why isn't there a way to round some up and relocate to another region? A few were released in the badland region of SD. I guess we don't dare have too much wildlife around do we.

    Buying a new gun..Dilemma

I believe a factory 150 grain bullet for .270 drops 21 inches at 400 when sighted in at 200. One thing I'll relent to is it's a no brainer that if a deer is hit in right area most guns are just fine. But hitting incorrectly can be an issue and that is maybe where a different caliber may trump...

    Buying a new gun..Dilemma

Really...do you think the deer care? - - - Updated - - - I haven't read up enough yet of those. Can you give more specifics on the 6.5x284 and how it differs from 6.5?

    Buying a new gun..Dilemma

You obviously don't read enough. I'm assuming not enough pictures for you. If it wasn't for Jack O'Connor the .270 may have disappeared. But it didn't because too many found it very efficient for killing numerous species. It still ranks high as one of the best deer calibers. IF you were...

    Buying a new gun..Dilemma

Fast and flat they are! Are some faster and flatter? Probably. Is it faster and flatter than many? Most definitely. No just muzzle velocity but down range as well. I've noticed You sure seem to be always looking to fight and contradict on here. Tough childhood or just a know it all...

    Buying a new gun..Dilemma

look at eurooptics.com. Have sale on Mauser rifles. $200-300 off. If you like the creedmoor can get one for low 400s down from mid $600s. Pretty good deals for a solid gun. If you're not sure on money, buy a cheaper gun and put your money on the glass. Glass is what makes a good...

    SD Governor

I believe both the "Jerk and drive" campaign and the Meth one were 500k dollars paid by taxpayers dollars to some pukes from MN to come up with them.

    ducks

I am thinking that too. No food and most things froze over so they probably went right through in the night?? I guess I didn't even know it started because I saw so few birds.

    ducks

So where are they? Things froze up here pretty good, even big waters partially froze. Have seen minimal movement of birds. Mostly snows and some honkers. Not much for duck movement. Spotty. Do you guys up there still have ducks or are they already tanning their feathers on the beach...

    Dog/Lab Questions

Lots of issues. Mostly he is young and goofy and two-as others mentioned, he is testing you a bit. Check cord will work to bring him in. Get rid of the tennis ball. Use bumpers. You need to be firm with him. Don't pussy foot around with him. If not giving up ball or bumper wrap hand across...

I've seen other talk that the raffia grass is no good? Too shiny or something? Cant remember why? Heard of killer weed. Prob same thing.

    blind grass

ok thanks for ideas. I probably do what is best. Each time out and reload with crop from field. No issues. I'm just getting old and lazy and see where some guys add that synthetic stuff and then only have to add a little from field. Will cut my time in half.

    blind grass

What are you guys using for fake grass in your layout blinds. I've always put natural field material in the loops but see where many have put in a manufactured type that seems to look good. Would be nice to leave in for much of year.

    Sock liners

I'll have to try to Darn tough socks. Never heard of them. I always use Merino wool with polypropylene liners underneath for hunting/hiking. Seems to be good combo. Wicks moisture away and wool keeps warm.
