Took the boat out to Ashtabula today and first fish in the boat was a nice walleye. Ended with three nice walleyes and lost count of the silver bass we caught. Boat worked great, really happy with it.
Going fishing this weekend, and am thinking of staying away from the DL area lakes on the Minnesota side. Haven't been out on Ashtabula this year yet. Is it worth the trip?#$%^&>

I have been looking at the Weatherby Vanguard Accuguard in 257 Weatherby on their website. Just wondering if the 24" barrel is long enough or if you really loss that much in fps from the 26"?;:;banghead
I looked through the nine rifles they offer in this caliber, and they are all 26" bbl, except the Mark V Lightweight Hunter say 28". If that is correct and not a typo.
Was looking at the Weatherby website tonight and I see they are offering this as a new caliber. I think it's been a wildcat for awhile, have seen talk on Long Range Hunting website.
