    Baltimore bridge collapse

I suppose their argument is it becomes nearly impossible for business to continue with an unknown amount of liability hanging over their head. Nobody in their right mind is going to put cargo on any ship from that company knowing that any day the doors could be chained shut. That being said, I...

    I'm in the market

I couldn't describe the A-5. I have virtually 0 experience shooting one. There's probably specs out there somewhere regarding POI/POA bias but I don't know it myself.

Fairly close approximation (rule of thumb) is 4:1 capacity vs. velocity. Meaning, for every 4% you gain in case capacity, you gain 1% in velocity. That is assuming both cases are loaded w/ the same projectile to the same pressure. I read the 4:1 in some book or post from John Barsness who...

    I'm in the market

Just opinion, but, I think people who grew up on or spent significant time shooting an 870 of any sort probably will find the transition to a Browning Cynergy the easiest. The Cynergy has a slight "high" 60/40 bias which IMO/IME comes pretty close to where Rem 870/1100/11-87/11-96's shoot as...

    Baltimore bridge collapse

This is one of the few times I'm 100% OK with "Putting it on the Credit Card". Get the project planned and built as quickly as is safely possible. Don't be penny-wise/pound-stupid about it either, look @ future needs and build in upgrades right now. It's less expensive in the long run. I...

If the banning DOESNT happen, need to look and see who received last minute donations from the CCP. I see Swalwell (who was diddling a known Chinese Spy) is all-in AGAINST the banning. Big surprise.

    Bis to lose boat ramp

Looks like they’re gonna drive cars off into the water mid-right in the rendering. Seems like a liability issue. Somebody quick get down there and get a picture of a Plover nest, then they won’t be able to do diddly-squat.

    Boating Access of the Future?

How would folks feel about needing a pass for the McClean Bottoms or Matching Mandan range (can’t recall the name), or Wilton range?

    long range rifles?

The Tikka aftermarket gets better every day. It doesn't have as many options as the "Rem 700 or Savage bolt-action Footprints", but, it's probably tied @ 3rd w/Ruger for aftermarket options like stocks, scope mounts, etc. If you decide someday to re-barrel the Tikka I think there's a few...

    long range rifles?

If you're left-handed it'd be pretty hard for your search not to start and end with Tikka.

    17 cal vs 22 mag

I know you said Semi-Auto, but, I'd look hard at a Ruger American bolt action as well. I don't know of anything that feeds rimfire cases (especially the longer 17HMR/22 magnum) better than Ruger's rotary magazine, they're just slick. The rotary mags are also plentiful.

    long range rifles?

Sure, my strong preference would be "Classic" actions from '92-06, the earlier the better with the old-style "open" trigger and I prefer Stainless Steel to blued chrome-moly. The downside is weight vs. a 700 footprint and in factory form, the mag-boxes are short in all but the Creed/PRC...
