    Trolling with Spoons

Trolled Michigan Stingers on Erie in the summertime. Just used a snap weight and the 50/50 method most of the time. They work really well when you can troll for 30 miles and your depth only varies a foot or two and the fish are suspended. Most guys with bigger boats and deeper pockets ran...

    Sheepshead fish.

Texture is closer to shrimp or lobster, meat does not really flake. We dropped some strips in heavily salted, boiling water and took off heat for about 15 minutes, drained and chilled and ate them cold, dipped in cocktail sauce or melted butter. They are good blackened like their saltwater...

Leaving Drain Plug out until you're at the Ramp

Same, remove a strap, trim motor and remove transom saver, install plug and then remove second strap and put in pickup, turn around and remove safety strap then disengage winch, pull off a little slack and re-engage. Do it the same everytime. It's like I turn into "Rainman" for that 5 minute...

    Trolling motor shaft length

I'll switch to the main and start pulling cranks when it is too rough for the 60 to stay in the water. The 60" will suit you fine, when that 60 starts cutting air constantly do you see yourself kicking yourself for not getting a 72" just so you can take a longer beating that day?

    New world record shiras moose

I was really expecting to see a story about somebody paying big bucks for a "any unit, any season" type of tag. Kudos on that bull, pretty.

    Beef Tongue

Do like head cheese and souse and scrapple for that matter! Best thing I have eaten though is "tacos el bouche" from the taco truck parked in Arnegard, never would have tried other than on a dare and they have been amazing everytime I have ordered them.

    Beef Tongue

A zoology prof cooked some bison tongue for a wild game dinner end of quarter and it was really good, have made beef tongue for slicing for roast beef sandwiches and tacos since, really like it. Only beef heart I have had was slow cooked for a church potluck, pretty good. Not a liver fan but...

    Flooding on the west side.

Based on the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow, of course.

    Flooding on the west side.

Good bit of ice intact both sides of the 85 bridge mid day today, I was really surprised to see it that way
