Good winter tire for 2500 Duramax

I've ran BF Goodrich T/A's, Cooper AT3's, Bridgestone Dueler Revo's, and Hankook Dynapro. I liked the AT3's, but I really like the Hankook's. That's what I currently have on and would easily buy them again. Good traction, low road noise, nice handling, etc.

    Mini Van

We have an '09 Pilot. Love the ride. Handles well. Doesn't get the gas mileage that a van would. And not as much room behind the 3rd row. We only use the 3rd row when hauling extended family. Plenty of room for 2 kids, a large dog kennel and a bunch of other stuff if you only use the 2 rows...

    Tile Showers

Tiled the basement tub surround on a bath/shower about 9 years ago in my old house. Bathroom wasn't finished so I got to start from scratch. Wanted a full bath, so went with the full tub on the bottom. Put in a glass block window first. Framed it out, insulted it with the pink foam board...

    Weather Expert - La Nina`

Nean, starting to think you have one of those secret 7th grade crushes on Dean. Like a teenage boy saying a girl is "icky", but then all he does is talk about her all of the time and its clear there is an infatuation.

    electric floor heat question

Good to know. It's become apparent to me that since I just moved into this house last December, and I have no idea when the system was last checked, that I need to call someone out to give it a good once over and ask their opinion on what I need to do to possibly make it more efficient. The...

    electric floor heat question

I already went to Cass Co. Electric and spoke with them. THey gave me the rates too for off peak. They said I needed to have my electrician install the off peak meter. I spoke with a guy (who is an electrician) who I know well about how much he'd charge me to install it. He said it would be...

    electric floor heat question

Good questions. I have no idea. I've read both opinions on using a tankless water heater for floor heat. I've read places that say its just fine (here included) and other websites where its not recommended. I've heard enough people say it works just fine and is also efficient so it's...

    electric floor heat question

Thinking of a programmable thermostat so the current thermostat isn't always kicking in the boiler every time the air temp falls a degree or two. Unlike a gas forced air system, its hard to know how often my boiler is kicking in. It was a recommendation of an electrician friend to try a...

How do you hunt this stand?

Seems like since you don't seem to have bucks that bed by your place, the bucks would likely come from the North or South along the river edge to stay out of sight. Or I could seem them bedding across the river along the river edge since there isn't much to your west and north other than open...

    electric floor heat question

The issue is maybe I won't be disappointed by spending much less?? Maybe that will significantly help me with my electric bill by trying a couple other basic things first like a different thermostat before dropping a bunch of cash on as gas boiler. Never had off peak on anything before, so I...

    electric floor heat question

Can't remember exactly, but I think my gas bill was around $75 to $100. Maybe the $400 is normal, but I guess it was just a shock to me since I all I heard was how efficient it was. Once I quit using the floor heat, my bill went back down to about a $100.

    electric floor heat question

Moved into the house in mid December last year. Electric bill was $400 in January. Guessing $200 or $250 of that was floor heat. Maybe that isn't out of the norm but I guess I always read how it was so efficient so it surprised me. Wasn't sure about the thermostat either other than if I get...

    electric floor heat question

So maybe I missed this, but do you run floor heat using the tankless water heater? I read on their website that is becoming more common, and have heard that from others as well. $1200 is definitely better than 3 to 4K!!!

    electric floor heat question

My house is your typical bi-level, 4 feet of the basement or so is below grade. My basement is about 1150 sq feet. All finished. 2 bedrooms downstairs. We live in a residential neighborhood with few trees, so we get a pretty good northwest wind in the winter. Our alternative heat source is...

    electric floor heat question

I just can't find a lot of literature saying for sure that using a floor temp sensor with a new wall mounted digital thermometer is better than a wall thermostat. Supposedly the outdoor reset monitor is supposed to help it be more efficient too by only bringing the floor up to a certain temp...

    electric floor heat question

We didn't have a lot of snow around the house last year so it was hard to tell if I was losing any along the foundation. I'd tend to say no. The only reason I question the insulation piece in the walls is that in one of my bedrooms, the wall felt cold and it was a bit drafty around the window...
