Took a lamb leg for a spin...

Looks good Mossy. Lamb is excellent. My daughter made a Pakistan dish the other night; I assume it was goat or camel. Anyways it was kind of a hotdish with sweet potatoes. Not too bad.

    Arrow use after the kill

Most of mine are hanging in the antlers. I'll use them again someday.

    When the wife is away!

Rick's seasoning from Mobridge? I like to chunk some walleye and bacon wrap it, slow cooked on the grill in garlic butter. I learned this is Alaska, however it was halibut chunks. Hell of a way to spend a few hours after salmon and halibut fishing all day. Drink a few Alaska Amber's and halibut...

Attempted Robbery At Local River In Minot Thwarted Off By Concealed Carry.

Not physically threatening? At what point with someone robbing you do you decide this? When it's too late? I too am glad he didn't shoot the dude, but when someone is willing to take the risk of robbing you, all bets are off. Especially when there's a child around who could also be harmed.

    Coyote Rifle

Was using Hunter, couldn't find it anymore so tried some TAC with accuracy not affected. I have a bunch made up, same with 65 gr. Vmax that my rifle doesn't like. If you want to try what I have let me know. I also have 80 gr TTSX's that I put together for my daughter. My .243 is a slow twist and...

    Whole meat venison jerky

Guy, Nesco original is fine, I tend to use the hot and spicy. Typically I'll work a roast out of a hind quarter, get all the crap off, and put it in the freezer for a half hour or so. With a fillet knife you'd be amazed at how perfectly precise you can cut; I try for an eighth inch or so for...

    Coyote Rifle

I shoot a .243 with 58 grain Vmax, I don't think you have to give up any speed. I'm not. I also use a few different 5.56's/.223, one that'll shoot well out past 500. I like my AR's for prairie dogs, don't particularly care to use them for coyotes, much prefer a bolt action; I have a .204 I use...

    Whole meat venison jerky

I started making ground stuff this year, it has been excellent. I will be making 50-50 now. Elk makes better jerky than deer, but that's not saying anything bad about deer, just how excellent elk is no matter how you do it. I've got 25 pounds of deer in a brine mix tonight. For my whole muscle...

    What is this?

Hunting a bit... Should have a little more time now that the time change keeps me from hunting after work.

    Denise killed this deer

Haven't been on in a while, did she kill one of those big bears? Nice job on the doe. I'll be in doe mode in a couple weeks, got a few buck tags left first. Killed a good one yesterday opening East River. Got home and no disk in the camera. Looks like it's supposed to be able to store photos in...

    Thompson/Center Pro Hunter XT

Thanks everyone. Will get some Blackhorn tomorrow and go from there. Was hoping the pellets were the cats ass, but doesn't appear to be the case.

    Thompson/Center Pro Hunter XT

I've got a TC Pro Hunter XT that I got as a gift a couple years ago. Never have shot it. Anyway I drew an any deer muzzy tag this year. Looking for advice on powder charge (would prefer pellets) and bullet combos that have had good results in the past.

    OPEC wins

Things have definitely slowed down. A lot businesses have cut more than 50% of there staff. Many will tell you at the present, things are pretty good and back under control.

    badlands bugling

If there's elk in the area you should at least be hearing things right at dusk and dawn, regardless if they're getting after chasing cows or not. I spent a couple days in WY unit 116, in the forest service stuff. Didn't hear a bugle or even see any old elk sign. Would expect response bugles at...
