    Picked up a 8” Lazer hand auger and a 8” Mora hand auger last spring dirt cheap so we will see how they do against the k drill. Where I fish it is very sandy so may have to wait til I get to a lake with clean ice.

    You might want to shoulder them. I wasn’t a fan of they way the Franchi shouldered. I like the idea of the inertia system compared to the gas. Another gun brand to check out is Retay. Same design as Benelli but cheaper

    Suggestions for Early Ice Audubon

    Frogs are the ticket during early ice. Entrances to the back bays are pretty good. There are a few community honey holes that the bait shops will direct you too. Early ice can be really good on Audubon so good luck!

    Yeah a guy needs to watch out for back yard breeders. The mother needs to have testing done to certify she has good hips etc. No way in hell would I buy a lab without testing because I have seen too many pups develop hip issues and cause pain to the family that owns it.
