    Find a reputable independent shop in your area and get a quote from them, will still be high but not dealership high. You can get aftermarket parts for them at a better price than OEM parts as well. Check out places like Summit Racing going with a mild cam upgrade will work wonders too.

    There was a cam lifter issue around 09-10 on the 5.7 hemi which sounds like your issue but the dealer fixing it for $3500 is crazy, it is a simple fix find a mechanic you trust and throw the updates parts in her and run her for another 250K. It is not a life or death issue for the engine at all...

    Ha Ha then there would be no farmers / ranchers or small construction outfits or a lot of others with no insurance. I see 3/4 and tonner pickups with 30-40K #+ loads behind them not to mention the 15K weight of the pickup and trailer themselves several times a week on the interstate.
