    Looks like a goiter. Common down south. It's a skin virus of deer and the mass is benign. I wouldn't be afraid to eat the meat, but that's just me.

    Field Dressing Deer

    I still and will always field dress, drag, and hang. I don't like the hair and other contaminants that ALWAYS get on the meat when boning in the field. I also like the ability to cool a deer down instead of piling warm meat on top of itself inside a cooler. Too much chance of spoilage IMO...

    Saw a couple youngsters be successful yesterday. Wasn't involved, but the whole group looked real pleased with the legs sticking out of the truck bed and the youngsters talking up a storm. Could hear'em from 500 yards. Good Stuff!!!

    Financial Status

    I think multi-generational households might be coming back as things continue to degrade. Kids and their families moving back in with parents and bringing grandma and grandpa in as well. I know of a few households that have already done this to consolidate effort and finances.

    Being Debt free is the only real insulation from interest rates or inflation IMO. With the real inflation rate that includes energy and food, I think we are in for some rocky times ahead.

    Stinger hooks

    I've found that a long shank jig hook catches more fish for me than adding a stinger hook. The stinger tends to wrap around the main line way to often for my liking. I really don't like fishing for 15 minutes only to reel up and find my jig has been befuddled from the start.
