    New Tundra Accessory Recs

Makes sense. I had a tonneau when I first got my F150 but swapped it for a hard topper about a year later. Don't plan on having two dogs any time soon again, so figure the tonneau is OK for the short-term. I'm going to drive this bastard into the ground. I got a Toyota because I hear they're...

    New Tundra Accessory Recs

Other than being almost double the price, what's the big difference in the Original Access cover and Tonnosport Access cover?

    New Tundra Accessory Recs

I was faced with sinking $4k into an 11 year old F150, or finding something new. Decided to get a 2021 Toyota Tundra SR5 and love it. Has the 5.5 ft bed. Want to for sure add a tonneau cover before winter and need running boards. I know little about aftermarket accessories. Anything specific...

    Rain.

Gettin' a reeeeal nice soak this AM in Fargo. Slow, steady rain. My yard is actually getting green again. Who knows, might need to mow before too long!

    Fixed vs Mechanical Broadheads

I shoot both. Muzzy 3-blade 100 grain fixed, and some 100 grain 3-blad Rage mechanicals. I've had deer go less than 20 yards with both setups, so it definitely is more the "Indian than the arrow" in my case. If I put it where it needs to go, deer die.

    Rain.

That was a helluva storm that went through. Woke me up about 4 am. Looked at the radar and, wowza!

    Early goose season

I'm honestly kind of surprised mosquitos are a factor whatsoever right now. I haven't swatted one since May. But then again I suppose it's a bigger factor around whatever water sources are left out there.

    Early goose season

Yeah, the 100 geese sitting on a sand bank as temps creeped toward 100 degrees...I don't know what they did with them, but I'd sure hope it was in some sort of hurry-up fashion. It's one reason I just can't get excited about the Aug. 15 opener. As temps start dropping, I'll get the itch. But...

    New area, new challenge

I'm not sure where you go or how you do it, but that sounds absolutely perfect!

    New area, new challenge

It's great to hear others are doing similar things! I've been practicing with my grandpa's recurve all summer. I have a real hankering to take that with me the first few times, just in case I can get within 20 yards of a deer and send an old Bear broadhead its direction. Easily would be the...

    New area, new challenge

For the first time since 2002, I'm rifle hunting in a unit I've never hunted before. I picked up a leftover doe tag in a zone that was the closest to home. I've hunted near the area before for ducks and pheasants, but it's been years. My thought process is to make a challenge out of it by...

salutes fireworks- you can go to hell

Well now I feel bad that I can't be grumpy like the rest of you. I live in north Fargo and haven't heard a damn thing.

    Early goose season

I might use early season as an excuse to get out and scout for regular season opener. Plan right now is to strictly hunt bigger water and hopefully target more divers (or whatever flies by). I'm not going to even attempt to field hunt, and my normal sloughs are likely bone dry (or the water is...

Water from the Great Lakes or Pacific NW

Speak for yourself. One stray spark and my whole yard will go up in flames.

    Switching hitch ball sizes

I have one of those quick-change ball hitch (with the pin that goes through the ball, don't know name/brand. Sorry). And I've had zero issues. However, I always take the hitch out and store it under the backseat of my truck. Rusty, yes. But it's 11 years old, and I've yet to not be able to...

Ford guys - Cam phaser project

I'm going through this right now with my 2010 F150. It got really bad this weekend in DL after driving for a while. If I slowed down or tried to idle, it would knock really loud and sound like it was about to die. Sometimes it randomly fixed itself, other times I could stomp on the accelerator...

    Deer Tags

Got my rifle tag yesterday (this was for the second lottery). I've had my archery tag for a long time, now.

    Deer Tags

I'm just happy I decided to try something new and spring for a leftover antlerless tag in a zone I've never hunted.

    Deer Tags

So with this and electronic posting for the first time statewide, should be a banner year for deer harvest, no?? :;:thumbsup
