    You can leave the carrots in until you think the ground is going to freeze. I like to pick them as late as possible. Free storage.

    Good for you Toby. Several of my friends are recovering alcoholics. Sobriety is a good thing. If I held grudges against my friends for dumb things they did while drinking , I wouldn't have many friends . None of us miss the drama.

    Fish taco recipes?

    Halibut works great for tacos. Cut it up into bite size pieces and roll it in taco seasoning. Fry in some peanut oil until it's got a good sear. Soft shell tortillas work better than hard shells. Cabbage or coleslaw, cheese or whatever you like.

    I've been laying fabric between the rows for years. It works. I used large nails and pins to hold it down this year. I never till between the rows. Not in the last 20 years. - - - Updated - - - The flame article is good stuff. I need to find a smaller wand for my flower garden.

    I was working in a call center with over a hundred people. After the first plane hit the calls quit coming in. Many went home early. All I could think of was we need to kill those responsible.

    Dark chocolate is supposed to be bad for them. I had a shorthair that ate an entire case of solid milk chocolate bars. Didn't hurt him at all.

    I've seen a candy bar save the day more than once with those symptoms. 70 degrees is fine if your dog is in prime condition . Most aren't. The humidity is very tough on dogs. If you are hot the dogs are way more so.

    I wear the same type of pants and cheap long johns. Keeps me warm and dry. The nylon layer is great in the brush. Plus well under $100.

    Almost three pounds. Carbon Heirloom variety - - - Updated - - - I will be growing those beans next year. Results from the NDSU garden trials rave about these bean varieties.

    Put a two ounce weighted treble hook on your old millionaire baitcaster. Let her rip into the wind and lightly thumb the spool. You would be schocked as to how far it will go. Snagging salmon in the fall.

    School me on wood foundations

    During the eighties we worked in several homes built with wood foundations. In Bismarck. They are still standing. The builder was great at cutting corners. I might have been screwed during the 11 flood with a wood foundation. The floor trusses did just fine despite being in the water.
