    OAHE Ice Conditions

Anyone have an update on ramp status? Looks like we might have one last day of 50's tomorrow. Wouldn't mind giving Langeliers or cattail another shot. What about Pollock?

    Hardwater Marine

I like new things so give them credit, but just seems to miss what I think would be the actual market. Find the bridge between the wheel houses (and some skid houses) and the Otter flip overs. Also get rid of the all black interior sides. Flip Over Pros 1.) Portable and easily towed by atv and...

    Hardwater Marine

700lbs doesn't seem like a weight that would scream portable. How would this compare to the aluminum skid house already being produced? I did a quick look an many of the aluminum skid houses are 500 to 900lbs depending on size. Is the thought that the plastic material will be more robust...

New Suburban runs a guy $75k. New Crew Cab Ford with 6.5' box and topper would come to $41k.

    OAHE Ice Conditions

Thanks guys, from a satellite image I looked at looks like beaver bay will be out. Bay looks white and iced over. Might not be good for cattail either.

    OAHE Ice Conditions

Any update? Looking to take the boat out tomorrow (Sunday). Don't want to make the drive if the ramps will be froze in.

    Gloves: the search continues

This, same with boots. You want to keep your extremities warm in cold weather you have to keep your core temp up (physical activity, insulation vest layer, hat, etc.) and not impede circulation. That's why fit is one of the most important parts. You could go by some 2500 gram insulated boots...

    Creek Chubs

Also make sure you can identify the actual fish/minnow/chub you catch. There are a number of fish that can be caught in the same waters as creek chubs that are not actually creek chubs. Shiners and Daces to name a couple, these would not be legal baitfish in ND.

    3" shells for Pheasant

Yeah, I was holding out some hope based on some of the newer steel shells pushing 1600. I haven't bought a box of lead in probably 7 years so wasn't sure what would be available. I stuck with the Federal Premium P138 (2.75", 5 shot, 1 3/8oz.) Kept the full choke in. It performed very good. I...

    3" shells for Pheasant

I went to purchase a box of 3" last week, but found they are 200 or more fps less then the 2 3/4". so just went with those. If I could find a box of 3" lead at 1500 fps I would buy it. Why not? I have no dog and hate losing birds. More dead is better than dead.

Water from the Great Lakes or Pacific NW

Any thought or calculations on the actual amount of water that would be needed???? Sure you could run a water pipeline from one side of the country to the other but to actually make a difference in the shortage I think what most envision as a "pipeline" wouldn't be the best term to use...

    starkist tuna class action

The total payout has a cap at $8M cash and $4M in product vouchers. That means it will only take 320,000 people to cover the $8M and then they start to split it up. With how much press this has had and social media, people will be lucky to get $1 back. Starkist will pay more in paperwork...

    Deer Lottery P. Point Issue

I have no doubt they will get the P Points issued figured out before the 2016 draw and people will retain all the points they had/deserve. However, I feel the verbal response they received on the phone last Friday gives clues to the bigger issue. They were told it was their fault for inputting...

    Deer Lottery P. Point Issue

So I have heard from 3 people already that they got hosed out of their preference points during the ND deer lottery. Both Muzz drawing and rifle drawing. They signed into NDGF webpage to view results and they saw unsuccessful, but also noticed the preference points listed for 2016 were not...

    Hang-On Tree Stand (think light)

I am 97% sure all the rules the NDGF have for their management areas were adopted for the MRCC hunt. They also added some more Only allowed 2 portable tree stands (can leave in tree overnight) A ground blind can be used from Nov. 3rd to Jan 3rd. (limit 1) No screw in steps or permanent stands...

    Trail Cams

The black flash or Black LED cameras will give you the most security from anyone noticing the camera. The IR models will have the LEDs glow red when being used and of course the white flash models will be your typical camera flash. Unfortunately you give up nighttime performance (distance and...

    Trail Cams

Tell us a bit more about the setup you have. 1.) What specific area do you think you want it to monitor? Driveway/garage? Front Door? Gate? 2.) To get reliable performance and clear pictures and video it is best to face the cam to the north, is this possible? 3.) Is there an area you can...
