what oil to put in snowblower -- yes i can dig for manual - but wondering what you us

Been putting strait 30w in the Yard Machine/Briggs & Stratton we got for a marriage gift 23 years ago. She's starting to loose some power now but still gets the job done. Part of me is hoping this winter puts it in the grave so I can buy a new one. It's not the oil weight that matters....it's...

24 Below at Ft. KDM this morning.............

We bought 2 tickets to Mesa two weeks ago. Left last Friday after work and came home Monday afternoon. $300/ticket, sat in the sun and watched baseball for a couple days and came home...really took the edge of things. 75 degrees and sunny...A sunburn never felt so good! I think we are going to...

    Frozen in Ice Castle ideas?

As thick as the ice is, I'd just wait it out until later into March. We will have some warm days and it will thaw out. I think you run more of a risk of damage doing trying to physically remove the ice. Just let it thaw...plenty of time.

    Muddy Barbara Walters

I think they are mushy alive in late summer too. I put the plug in the live well, dump in a 20# bag of ice before I leave the dock, cut them after I catch them and let them bleed out on ice. They firm up when they float around in ice water all day.

....and the high school sucks too. - - - Updated - - - Almost more than water quality, I think that the water temperature is a large factor in fish taste. I generally don't eat lake fish caught beyond early July as they get mushy and taste like algae. The cold clean mountain water that feeds...

    Muddy Barbara Walters

For the first 25 years of my life, the Red River flowed through my backyard and was a large part of my childhood. Every spring when if flooded it would deposit 2-3 inches of the finest, greasiest silt you've ever known on our lawn. I had the privilege of reseeding that lawn no fewer than a dozen...

    Lund Impact Rigging Tube

Tried that and my fiberglass rods first...There was already power for the Terrova, bow graph, lights, horn, etc and of course they used corrugated tubbing. Couldn't get it to go and I also feared the fish tape would pass between wires on the way in and then make it a bugger to pull the data...

    Lund Impact Rigging Tube

Ok...here is what I did. I tied a 1"x1" chuck of a walmart bag onto a piece of Nanofil. Set the end in the conduit opening (down in the battery compartment) and turned on the leaf blower. Took a couple tries but it blew that piece of plastic right up to the bow and was able to get it with my...

    Lund Impact Rigging Tube

Looking for some advice. I'm running a data cable from the battery compartment to the bow of my Lund Impact. I have access to the rigging tube/conduit to run a fish wire up to the bow, but my question is this.....How do I gain access to the bow end of the rigging tube? There is a hole in the...

    Words of Wisdom

I told both my kids to think their education backwards. First figure out where you want to live, so you can do the things you want to do for recreation. Get an education for a job that pays well in that area. Its the things you do outside of work that keep your life in balance that will make you...

    Selling on Ebay

Part of my job is basically running a small retail business. 95% of what I sell is shipped across the midwest. With as much buying as people do on ebay & Amazon now-a-days, I can tell you shipping costs have just become a way of life. As long as your rates are fair, people just pay it. It's...

Best time of year to buy a new pickup?

One "cost" that is overlooked when buying close-out or year end inventory is the year of depreciation a vehicle undergoes just sitting on the lot. You may save money at the time of purchase but may loose it when you go to sell it. Unless you plan on keeping it and running it until the tires fall...

    Words of Wisdom

As I get older I like to pass on words of wisdom to todays younger people. During my 20s and 30s I thought I knew it all, and often thought those offering their wisdom to me were just soft. I never listened to those with more wisdom (experience) than me. Looking back I sacrificed a lot of...

Following the last conversation on here about the Ice Castle antenna, and having installed the Lund antenna on my boat (that so far has worked good), If I start having reception issues this summer, I'm going with what we have in our cars/truck.... Sirius XM.
