What # test power pro you using? Original power pro or super slick? 8# original power pro is tough as nails, casts a mile and is plenty strong to land any fish around here.

    Lowrance question

Transducers are a huge factor in image quality. There is a big jump in side imaging quality from the transducers that shipped with the HDS Gen 3 (LSS-2 and TotalScan) to those that shipped with carbon and live units (Active Imaging). I haven't seen it yet but looks like there is another big jump...

House Bill 1151- Prohibiting baiting bans

@Allen, Any idea where they got that number? USACE is showing just over 100% of median YTD. "According to the USDA, the upper Missouri River in Montana and North Dakota is seeing 184% snow water equivalent in our region." https://www.kxnet.com/news/state-news/ag-energy-snow-water-equivalent/

    Troy boy siebel

Not commenting on the incident, just taking exception to characterizing "shove it up your *ss" as a sexual comment in that context. That's like saying "eat sh*t and die" is nutritional and medical advice. One time in high school my rightfully infuriated mother told me to "get f*cked". It was...

    Drayton dam is no more

Can't hardly build a roundabout for under 1 million, and roundabout construction doesn't require running excavators in a half frozen river in March. Don't think it's a bad thing to see weirs or low head dams removed. Lots of sediment issues and problems for fish.

Catch and release isn't always the best option by doug leier

I don't put it back to reproduce. I put it back to hopefully catch again when it's even bigger.

Catch and release isn't always the best option by doug leier

If I'm targeting deep fish in late summer, I have no problem keeping 11 inchers and stopping at a limit or going shallower for catch and release. On the flip side I'm not keeping a 28" walleye caught in 30 FOW if it is able to swim down strongly. That fish has a chance in the water but none in...

Catch and release isn't always the best option by doug leier

We already have a lot of unnecessary laws. They don't let me unzip walleye fillets at the cleaning station because the blue platers were cutting them into chunks. Personally I also quit early when fishing deep. Again, if it's that important make it a law. But don't spend my license money...

Catch and release isn't always the best option by doug leier

If it's worth having an unwritten rule then make it a law. If it's that important don't permit fishing tournaments after late June. Until the law changes and the governor's cup ceases to be a kill tournament I'll do whatever the f*** I want, which usually means releasing anything I don't want to...
