    Half the time that's how they behave in my area too. I set myself up on one of their travel paths to the roosting area. They do have a few different routes but they are consistent in those routes - just have to pick the right one. I did have some gobbling close by at 5 or so but not a whole...

    You know, I think almost anything cooked over an open fire is always better! I'll have to try something like the above now. As soon as I get my yard in, I am hoping to have a fire pit of some sort.

    I think you put the story as the description for the photo album instead of the description for the picture. If you put it as the picture description then it shows with the picture (less clicking to do).

    Just shy of 9lbs at 30" - we were targeting northerns at the time with herring on a treble hook. Surprised to see the walleye on the hook.
