    iCast 2019

    Anyone been tuned into the new products being debuted down at iCast 2019? It looks like Salmo and Phantom came out with a new vertical crank. Also I am intrigued about this new Garmin trolling motor that just come out. Anyone else see anything cool?

    Transom Saver

    Is there any reason not to use a transom saver or one of those wedges? I have seen a lot of really nice boats from Lunds to sparkly Rangers with no transom saver to be seen. Seen it a lot more out in WY than anywhere else. Any reason for this rather than people who don’t take care of their stuff?

    Need a different pack

    At a minimum I would go with an Eberlestock X2 pack, it is designed to hold game bags/ the head really well. Team elk would be ideal if you are hauling it all out in one trip. Big thing is to have big pockets to support the game bags and many of the cheaper packs just don’t cut it.

    ND Kayak fishing buddies?

    Those rules don’t apply at metigoshe or at least everyone has failed to inform themselves on that law...... Kayak fishing is a fun challenge. It makes a guy try out some bays and shorelines most boat fishermen don’t try out. Netting nice walleye one handed out of the yak doesn’t get old!

    I have a variety of pflueger reels but I feel like the quality isn’t what it used to be. I have been checking out Diawa reels and they seem to be pretty smooth and solid. The next reel I buy will be a Diawa.

    Stump lake is very salty so Canada and the towns on the Red didn’t want the lesser quality water dumping into the sheyenne River. That’s why they pump from devils lake instead because they were able to get that approved by the other parties involved.

    True, that also contributed to the boon, but my point is that happened all while this ag land was being flooded. Now the region has a second important industry that they can’t afford to lose. Putting all their eggs in one basket (ag) is not a good idea.
