    Wormwood!

Paramount with 2 4 D amine works. I worry that the Paramount kills trees though. Plateau will work as well and its labeled to use around trees. Plateau is more of a fall applied chemical but I've used it on wormwood in June. I mix 4 oz of plateau, MSO, and a pint of 2 4 D amine in 20 gallons of...

    Big-ass Handguns

a few videos on youtube of 50 bmg pistols. yeah they're only single shots but I don't think you'd want to shoot it a second time.

    Rain then snow

Calving out cows in this really sucks. Nice moisture for the grass but wish it would have been warmer.

    Elk Rifle

416 barret would be my choice just because I want one. On second thought I'd rather carry the 270 I have or maybe buy a 300 win mag. Somehow carrying a 416 barret any distance over even flat terrain just doesn't sound appealing.

    Tracks needed for Lake Winnipeg?

What kind of box is that on back of the ranger? Looks neat. Tracks tend to throw a lot of snow and everything on back gets covered. That box looks handy.

Price of having a well drilled

I had 2 drilled 2 years ago. Cost about 4500 per well. Went down to 120 feet. That is only the cost of the well. I think you'll be happier with the quality of rural water compared to well water. If you need cheap water for watering a garden or washing a vehicle, I'd consider a sandpoint or...

    ATV Problem

There is no trade value on older machines. Dealers will either tell you they don't want them, or low ball so bad it hurts. Better to try and sell it on Bisman. I had carb problems on an old 2002 arctic cat. Dealer worked on it a few times, I finally put a new carb on for like 300 bucks at that...

    Greywolf Fishhouses

how is the hole layout in a greywolf? Yetti has the only hole layout that seems ok to me. Most of the other brands I don't really like where they put them. Suppose one has to build your own or order a custom house to get what you want.

I have a Polaris 900 and I agree the Honda is way more durable. Never been around a Yamaha but their atvs are bulletproof like a Honda. Polaris does have one of the nicest cabs but Curtis Cabs makes models for all brands and their pretty nice. I would miss the electric windows in the Polaris but...

Advice on 18" 10 ply tires

I was always told that on a 3/4 ton that pulls heavy trailers (heavier than a camper) and drives gravel, if you get more than 20000 miles out of any tire, your doing good.

New Ranger heated cab or tracks

buy both at the same time. I did. I wouldn't own a ranger without a hard cab and heater. Its great for ice fishing, snaring, or just checking trail cams with the heat on. Tracks are great for going anywhere in the snow. They do reduce your turning radius quite a bit and are a little rough on...

    Bobber stops on fluorocarbon

I use a plastic bobber stop that is similar to a dog bone type bobber stop. I don't remember the brand of mine as I ordered them from Cabelas years ago and there is like 100 in a pack so I'm good for life. They work well with fluorocarbon and mono but no so well with braid. They are a small...

    Any info about Steiner optics

I've got a pair of steiner 8x30s with the instafocus that I love. These were like 200 bucks 15 years ago and I think they're 250 now. I love the instafocus, just set em for your eyes and glass away. Clear, work well in low light, and cheap enough that if I wreck em or lose em not to big a deal...
