    Composite ammo

As I recall this stems from the military research into a new round, the 6.8 mm. As it stands right now, the casings cannot be reloaded, which is a bummer for many shooters, even though the ballistics seem to be pretty good overall.

    Pope

Not to dive too deep into this religious/philosophical discussion, but I am not of the opinion that Hitler, Saddam, Stalin, or Bin Laden could repent on their death bed and still end up in the same place as Noah or Moses. That may be what some people's interpretation of God's word would...

    Colorado wolves

If I remember correctly, the wolverine was harassing his cattle. Personally, I don't think I've heard of anyone in ND using the "it was a big coyote" defense. They don't look all that similar.

It's odd that one would choose such verbiage. I get it, you're trying to make a point. Yet, I am damn confident you would spend the next XX number of years trying to find a faith-based school that has an average, or even one occurrence of this being true for a graduating class of above 10'ish...

    Colorado wolves

Wolves and grizzly bears are an inevitability. You can't shoot either of them in ND unless your life is being threatened. This means if they wander here and decide to homestead, there ain't shiite we can do about it, even if we wanted to.

    ? changes to bow/mule deer ?

I hunted unit 4E this year, for probably the 7th or 8th time out of the past 20 years. Numbers wise, I would say I saw maybe 15-20% of the hunter numbers I expected. This was all on public land. We had days where we heard fewer than 5 gunshots all day. Yes, the deer numbers were also the...

    Colorado wolves

The number of landowners is falling, just about every day a large landowner buys out a smaller one in ND. The number of hunters is also falling as a percentage of the population. In politics and elections, numbers are important.

    Colorado wolves

So, you both seem to be saying what I'm thinking. The landowner/hunter relationship is no longer strong enough in Colorado to stop something that probably greater than half of all landowners and hunters were against. Hmmm, I often wonder how long before ND finds itself in the same boat...

    Pope

I guess I am in the crowd that doesn't think opulence is the best use of the money donated to the church. There's a legitimate debate of who owns the most art in the world. It's either the Catholic church or the Louvre museum in Paris. At some point you are just a hoarder, and the Catholic...

One tag vs multi tag poll

I haven't filled my rifle tag the past two years. The son has done well in keeping us in venison though. I'm at the point in life where I just want an opportunity to walk through the countryside, armed, and with a purpose. A deer license is still a great way to do that.

    Order a new truck lately?

I enjoyed the test drive! Anything you recommend to get the Wisconsin mojo off of it? Maybe a good Shaman?

    Order a new truck lately?

Just agreed today to buy a 2021 F250 (thanks @SDMF for talking me into it, I think). I was thinking of buying new, but this one's almost $30k less than new and with only 33k miles on it. I do need to whip out the heat gun and razor blade though, the damn thing came out of Wisconsin and I don't...

    Unfilled bull elk tag?

E5 is "the rest of the state" and any elk tag for designated units with their own geographic boundary can also be filled in E5.

    Pope

I visited the Vatican about 5 or 6 years ago. When I left, I said to myself "if I had been Catholic when I got here, I would have left a Protestant". I consider myself Christian (probably not the best example of one though), but the Catholic church has always annoyed me with their...

    6 by 6 very neat

Right, it's one thing to take such a toy out to Devils Lake in the winter, but these guys are going to use it to go invade Santa's home area. That would really suck to get halfway there and lose one due to mechanical issues.

    NFL News (Vikings)

What does one expect out of Mullens? Not like a lengthy list of NFL coaches haven't already looked at the guy and said he's not an above average QB in the NFL. The times when an NFL team does well after a well vetted QB goes down is very small.

    Order a new truck lately?

Can't disagree with that, I am thinking I'd need to put another 25-30k on the F250 before it'd be at the head of the line for replacement, if'n I do replace the 4Runner first. I'm in no great hurry right now as it's still something I'm trying to figure out.

    Order a new truck lately?

Yeah, I hear this often. But I have no complaints at all with mine. One exhaust sensor and an exhaust manifold is all I've done to it outside of routine maintenance. Edit: Note, I can replace the engine in my current truck 4-5 times for the cost of upgrading to a new truck.

    Order a new truck lately?

There have been really no updates to the 4Runner. And, while probably more accurate, the fuel economy on the new ones is rated slightly less than the fuel economy of my 2015. The local dealer has a 2012 4Runner with 41k miles, they are asking $28,500 for this 11 year old vehicle, which is only...
