    I have a 21p stainless on a 150 Yamaha 4 stroke. (Ranger 1880 Angler). I get 5400 to maybe 5500 at WOT trimmed up to just at the verge of blowing out. It's running around 45.5-47 mph there. - - - Updated - - - Hole shot is fine with 2 people, but load her up with four people and live wells...

    Completely circumstantial for me. In the right situation when we're pleasure cruising I'll have some. Fishing....I just forget about my drink after a few sips. I get lazy when I drink anyway, so I'm not a fan if I'm trying to put fish in the boat.

    Fireline casts well, and it's tough without question, but I don't like how it has so much memory and it definitely frays plenty fast.

    Okuma has built pretty descent reels in general for quite a while. I still have several on Berkley series one rods from when they first came out....2001ish?? I don't have much experience with their line counter reels, but I wouldn't be afrid of them.
