    The heat is too much for things like peppers and cucumbers. It knocks down the buds. Luckily my peppers flowered early. Not so much with the cucumbers. My Carbon tomatoes are getting sun scald. I had to shade them today. Probably won’t grow them again.

    OZONICS....Is it worth it???

    Quite a few years ago I was approached by a company that sold ozone cleaners. I went to a meeting where they were using the cleaners. The ozone kicked my asthma coughing into high gear. Asthma doctors hate them.

    My guess is that there are way more gar in the river than one would think. During the flood of 11, there were hundreds of gar in the water as it went down just in my yard. 3 to 4 inches long.

    The garden looks great! The rain and heat have been just what the garden needed. The corn I planted May 30th will be hip high on the 4th of July.

    Venison Brats

    I made brats with Owen's bacon-cheeseburger and the Philly cheese steak mixes. Both are very good. 50/50 deer and pork. I wish pork had more fat like it was 25 years ago.

    It's still early. With a little luck it will recover. As warm as it has been the roots should be well established.
