    Garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The heat is too much for things like peppers and cucumbers. It knocks down the buds. Luckily my peppers flowered early. Not so much with the cucumbers. My Carbon tomatoes are getting sun scald. I had to shade them today. Probably won’t grow them again.

    New dog training

With my Brittanys gun shy has never been a problem. I make sure that they go on lots of walks as a pup. I let them develop some bird chasing before shooting my training pistol. Once they start searching for birds they could care less about noise. The first male Brittany I had learned real...

    OZONICS....Is it worth it???

    Garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With cooler weather ahead it may be a good idea to work on the tomatoes. Blight can be nasty. Trimming leaves is a good first step. Only indeterminate tomatoes should be trimmed. That means the plants continually bear fruit. Most varieties do that. I like to trim real good in the bottom foot...

    Missouri River rise

My guess is that there are way more gar in the river than one would think. During the flood of 11, there were hundreds of gar in the water as it went down just in my yard. 3 to 4 inches long.

    Storms

Three miles south of Bismarck. Some hail 1.5 inches of rain. The garden needed rain. It was just comical seeing the dopes with stalled vehicles on Expressway. Why do people think that their car is a boat?

Nice cages. Instead of wrap I grow tomatoes in rings made from 5 gallon buckets cut in half. They store easily and last many seasons.

    Venison Brats

I made brats with Owen's bacon-cheeseburger and the Philly cheese steak mixes. Both are very good. 50/50 deer and pork. I wish pork had more fat like it was 25 years ago.

It's still early. With a little luck it will recover. As warm as it has been the roots should be well established.
