    I've hunted and fished with a few of my students. But yes, lots of overbearing parents out there that make things difficult. Bigger problem is probably the number of parents not involved in their kids' lives and the number of kids that grow up with no rules or idea of respect for authority...

    Bingo. You put that many boats in an area and someone's feelings are bound to get hurt. Not that there aren't jerks out there, but this is like going to Minneapolis and complaining about traffic.

    20 years ago today that the dikes gave way in Grand Forks. One of those days for me where you remember where you were and can still remember very vividly although I was only 14. I'll post more memories when I have more time but figured I'd see what other memories people have from that flood.

    Damn that's allot of snow.

    I have not seen a pheasant hen since the snow melt in the vicinity of Bismarck. Seeing a decent number of roosters but just no hens in my observations.

    Rainy River

    Yup, when it gets muddy about all you can do is sturgeon fish. Or go way up by International Falls where the river won't be dirty but the fishing won't really be worth the drive either.
