    Was it clear-coated/sealed? If so, I would imagine some of the colorful molecules in the oil diffused into the clear coat, out of reach of detergent/solvents. Meaning that until the clear coat is removed the stain will remain.

    the chamber bags are dirt cheap - even for 4 mils. You can get zippered versions, etc. The only downside to chambers that I have found is when you want to vac something long like a whole salmon filet. You rarely get "juice", grease or fat in the seal zone - so a chamber vac fuses the plastic...

    I ate them in soup in S. Korea and Taiwan (I think anyway - i wuzh pritty hammmered) and they're common in/on sushi of course - the little pop you feel when you bite into those tiny orange eggs (flying fish?) on the outside of rolls is a favorite of mine
