    Helix transducer

I've read that a lot of si ducers have issues reading while on plane (all manufacturers)... my onix one stops reading at about 15mph and it's 1/2 in the water... it's a much bigger ducer than the helix ones though

    pre-spawn slough walleyes

What you have to do is first get yourself 12 lbs of salted butter and 3 French vanilla creamers (preferably from a Denny's restaurant) then you need to get the tightest pair of fruit of the loom undies you can squeeze into and 1 long stick so before you launch the boat you take off all of your...

    Open water near Minot

thank you for saying that... I didn't want to sound like Debbie downer and say "stay away from the river and Audubon" on the other hand... if you go to Audubon an easy solution is get a map chip and you will be 99% fine (even navionics on your phone will keep you mostly safe)

    Lake Winnipeg Update 2017

I agree... sakakawea, Audubon, devils or oahe... if you take 6-10 guys on any of these lakes and fish as hard as you do up there for 5-10 days straight you will catch fish and you will end up finding some 24"+... the 3 big things are the color, you will not find a fish that color in ND, and...

    Winter kill

pike being alive is not necessarily a good sign for the rest of the fish population... northern pike can survive (in winter) much lower dissolved oxygen levels than many other fish a pike can survive for several days at 0.1 - 0.4mg/l levels... a walleye for example it is lethal at or below 1mg/l...
