    Neither MItch or Dallas are entered in this years Iditarod. I believe Christian Turner is running with Mitch's dog team. I will do some checking on who, if anyone, will be using some of Dallas' dog team.

    good article! Good luck to Maxiner! My wife's cousin, multiple Iditarod winner, Mitch Seavey, or his son, multiple winner Dallas Seavey, are running the Iditarod this year, altho i believe both of them will be having their "A" team dog teams in the race, with 2 other mushers on the dog sleds.

    Cold temps kept bunches of folks from venturing out on the lake. Committee persons stated around 2300 ppl were on lake fishing. That is about 1/2 of usual. Minus 35 windchill kept most from braving the elements.

    My .02 to this conversation is this...if you have considerable assets and are insurable, look into Long Term Care insurance. Earlier the better, premium is less(even tho u may not need the coverage for a number of years, if at all). Think SOME newer policies actually have a life insurance...

    I made an extension of sorts on my hitch cargo carrier and a piece of angle iron for edge the of my clam voyager to rest against and bungy and /or strap it down. Its a lot easier than lifting up into back of a truck. Has worked well for me anyway.
