    Taxidermist in NW ND?

Might want to check out Bickler in Williston, what i've seen in his shop was good. I've only had him do fish for myself though.

    Missouri River rise

Mort in our area high water means mud mud mud. Cats will be all over the place and this time of year the shovelnose sturgeon will be a frequent battle. That being said if you can find a tributary with come clearer water you may find some other surprises.

    Service Dogs/Companion Dogs

Only been an issue a few times around here but every time the only ailment was a 10+ year drug problem, also vagrants. Come into town, test the waters then move on if they can't find enough handouts. Also if you are talking about food establishments if the animal(legit service animal even) has...

    Fishing access fenced off...

Yep we've brought that up a few times, they don't want any part of enforcing rules then the problem gets out of hand by the time someone decides to write a ticket/arrest someone. Actually fits nicely with pretty much any federal rules immigration, guns, protesting, whatever.... If we really want...

    Fishing access fenced off...

Just to clarify, "block" probably wasn't the best word. What I was referring to was generally if I see a no tresspassing sign on a gate I stop unless I have an understanding with the owner even if I know the sign carries zero legal weight.

    Fishing access fenced off...

Yep I've been hard on the Corps but to be fair this is a big deal as well. Growing up we were always told that it was illegal to block those section lines leading to public land. Not sure it it was actually the rule or not or if it just went unenforced because it happens alot.

    KDM's Muddin' Minute

Dude! Awesome!!!! Gosh I need to go fishing. I need to find someone I can tell to take this job and shove it. ;:;rofl

    Fishing access fenced off...

Pertaining to the OP's general area of topic, maybe the Feds should lock up the National Grasslands between the county roads and the Corps fences giving the lake the added buffer it needs to be protected? Lets be honest the grasslands are far from pristine condition at the moment, for mainly the...

    Natives gill netting~

Taking a trip is a little different, walleye and king salmon are pretty similar wholesale price. I could kind of understand someone in a part of the country that has no walleye to buy it for $10 a pound or so but still at the end of the day there is a list of fish that aren't really all that...

    Natives gill netting~

Yep. I wiped walleye off of our menu years ago for that reason. Blows my mind when I see people paying for walleye, especially around here. There shouldn't even be a market for it. Imagine how many other good things you can buy and eat for $18 a pound or less. And if a person really wants a...

    Fishing access fenced off...

I’d be ok with some decent enforcement for once as a compromise. COE is a prick of an absentee landlord, rarely there but when they peek in they make peoples lives a living hell. Instead of posting signs and building fences put a couple guys on patrol. I bet they spent quite a few years of...

    Fishing access fenced off...

Actually in the area we are talking about there is a spot named for a guy who probably fished there for 50 years, now it's at least a 3/4 of a mile walk to get there legally.

    Fishing access fenced off...

Gear, cooler, bait, bucket(god fobid a guy wants to keep a pike to put in it and take home). I know how much alot of guys on here love it when people C&R their beloved walleye eaters. Add a kid or two into that equation and holy smokes that's a hike. Honestly if the rules were this way when I...

    Fishing access fenced off...

Yep you can walk in, there are skinny "gates" where a person can slide through to walk in. I can actually fit my kayak through, barely. Generally thats a couple hundred yards from the shoreline. What 's going on is two things, people are being corralled into the resort areas if they want to...

    Fishing access fenced off...

The area from tobacco gardens to the east past the beacon is completely fenced off. There are a couple openings but way to small to fit anything with wheels through. Dirt bikes and 4-wheelers on sad bars is pretty normal up here on the river areas where I think the actual habitat of concern is...

    Non-resident fishing license

Let's remember, not paying sales tax isn't a privilege it's a way of attracting people to shop instead of going elsewhere. Most states aren't to bad for fishing licenses, MT is pricey though. Another thing we can blame on the hippies out west. Same with NR hunting, brutal. That being said, how...

    Lake sakakawea water levels

Peck openened up a little more yesterday and that's probably only the start. Peck is managed for natural reproduction so the levels are on a schedule. There is so much water up there even a high water year for Peck isn't going to slow things up downstream. Higher levels are better for the fish...
