    Good Riddance

My wife and I adopted a little girl from Africa, and she's as black as you'd think. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining in the slightest. We are financially able to support our three children, by the grace of God. But from long before we were able to go get her and bring her home, the US...

    Garage Attic Access

I have the same kind. Didn't install it myself, but I did install one at my folks house years. One guy in the attic, one guy below. No big problems. Do shim and BOLT the frame in place. Don't use screws. The weight of the ladder, plus you, plus whatever you're carrying, adds up pretty...

    Fox Island/Grant Marsh open ramps

I noted a boat on the water between the Expy and Memorial bridge yesterday afternoon. No ice of course. mid-day, no wind. Looked pretty nice.

    Does anyone here target carp?

These are good points. I'm boatless, so I tend to fish a lot more in the spring and fall (along with every other guy around). I tend to fish later at night, to avoid the crowds. Carp are present during the dog days, in shallow water. Visible even.. Nobody crowding around a known carp-hole...

    Does anyone here target carp?

Man! That would be fun. I've caught them before, as bycatch, while fishing for other species. They, and freshwater drum, are like hooking a John Deere. Snagged one this fall, in the dorsal fin in the current, and it took me 10 minutes to land it. I can't imagine the tussle on light gear...

    Does anyone here target carp?

Lots and lots of "regular" carp in and around Bismarck, on the Missouri. I routinely see them when wading. Also, directly south of I-94, on the west shore, is a bay that we used to call Diaper Bay. During low water, you can't get in with a boat. You'd have to walk. But if you DO get in...

    Easy winter

Yup, crazy nice weather we're having. Whatever comes now, we have skipped out on probably half of what COULD have happened. Another two months and it'll be time for long rods again! Shortest day of the year is behind us, and it's already a little bit noticeable that the evenings last a tish...

    New Here Looking to Learn

Lots of pike in Sakakwea, and the Missouri river south. I forget the numbers, but my largest was a bruiser caught while wading one morning, throwing cranks for walleyes. This was a few years ago, but was a fun fish.

    New Guy Here

Welcome Lando! I hope everything goes your way. I've never fly-fished, but would like to try. Often, it's a bit breezy for it here in ND. Pike on a big streamer would be a lot of fun.

    one year later

Good thread to reflect upon. I'm 50, and although it's never too late to better one's self, I'm pretty happy. I made some major changes a few years back, and I don't miss my "old life" a bit. I haven't had a hangover in years, and that right there, is truly something. 3 years ago, on New...

Mary Anne from Gilligan's Island passed away:(

Yup, Tina Louise is the last of the Gilligan's Islanders. Google her. Be advised, Brian Austin Green is dating an aussie model named Tina Louise. She looks purty good for being 80 something.

    Removing Tree Stump

I'm watching this thread closely. At work, the biggest of three pines blew down this past summer. Got it cut off and hauled away, but the stump is huge. Took a big forklift just to push it back upright. Never even mind lifting it. The roots didn't tear, and they're huge.

    Fish Taxidermist Recommendations

I have not had the good fortune to need to call MSA yet, but next time I do, there's only one guy around for my fish mount. He lives in Minot.

    Dumb Ass

I too, can vouch for this. Since the brass was still laying on the floor, it was obvious that IT wasn't what went through the garage roof.
