    Helicopter Killed their Calves

Coal is 4 cents per kilowatt hour verses wind at 26 cents. Natural gas is somewhere in the middle factoring building pipelines. I believe I have written about this before. Puget Sound Energy services Seattle. They were hydro electric for years but needed more so back in the 70's they built 2...

    Predator proofing a chicken coop

For predator control, get a couple African Geese. Noisy, but nothing messes with them. Works in a pen. Doesn't work free range because they don't hang with the chickens. Good choice on the Road Island Reds. Brown colored eggs.

Dept of Ag Sec. Purdue and DU

Ducks Unlimited ran two ballot measures for the 5% oil revenue rip off. They wanted about $100 million a year. The first one ended with the Fargo football player fiasco and the second failed 20% yeas to 80% nays. The State executive branch under Dahlpimple said let's compromise and give them...

Dept of Ag Sec. Purdue and DU

No, but they had leadership who were cheerleaders. Hate to admit it but I have a DU shirt. They have done a wonderful job marketing their brand.

Sb 2315 - reborn after house gutting!

Dirty, that was special. It's OK to flame landowners, legislators, leaders of farm orgs but leaders of conservation orgs are off limits even when they pulled a dirty one. Sure, we are not all on the same side of this issue but down the road we'll be on the same again like a baiting ban.

Sb 2315 - reborn after house gutting!

Visited with a Representative on the phone today. He said the letter from the three conservation orgs was handed to Sen. Erbele and Erbele didn't share the individuals names, only the names of the orgs. Dang.

Sb 2315 - reborn after house gutting!

Nick Simonson said he was asked to sign on but he declined. Asked by whom? Aren't you curious who gave the green light to support?

Sb 2315 - reborn after house gutting!

guy, I never like to get caught up in the red herrings such as litter, section lines or whatever. Never have any problems. So how are you coming getting that info on who were the psychical pen to paper signatories of those three conservation and one sportsmen's org that supported 2315?

Sb 2315 - reborn after house gutting!

I agree with you bravo, Rep. Todd Porter mentioned voting SB 2315 down for now but let's go back and fix this. He knows the wound is huge. The House divided into a rural verses urban slug fest. That was bad. Months ago I said it would be nice to give landowners their much wanted trespass...

SB 2315 - Sneaky Underhanded BS

guy, permit me to change two words around. Farmer/ranchers are not arguing with “sportsmen” - we’re arguing with individuals and a handful of orgs headed by driven people who use their organization’s members to advance personal agendas. The ND chapter of the wildlife society, the ND wildlife...

Sb 2315 - reborn after house gutting!

Obi, a full time farmer with a stay at home wife pays thousands on real property and not their dwelling. Apples to apples if a young beginning farmer has a wife who works in town they may be treated differently ending up paying on both. SB 2360 levels things. Or maybe you think all rural...

Sb 2315 - reborn after house gutting!

Let's back up a bit Dustit, Eye was telling his Rep if this passes the sportsmen are going to run three ballot measures against landowners. The farm dwelling exemption was one. Can't remember the other two but what I did was use SB 2360 as an example. It passed. If guys like Eye want to...

Sb 2315 - reborn after house gutting!

Dustit, didn't want to highjack the thread. We pass laws all the time to help beginning farmers. 2360 was meant for them. If a beginning farmer's wife works in town, her gross compared to his net on a bad crop year can put them into that bracket where they get taxed on their dwelling in...

Sb 2315 - reborn after house gutting!

That letter really put you in a funk guy. The ND chapter of the wildlife society and ND wildlife federation always dig in their heels and United Sportsmen and Delta Waterfowl followed their lead. The first two or conservation/preservation orgs never ever compromise. You can hear that tone in...

    Flash Alert/2315/Not Dead

Rep. Todd Porter mentioned it today. HB 1021 https://www.legis.nd.gov/assembly/66-2019/documents/19-0209-03003m.pdf SECTION 6. LEGISLATIVE MANAGEMENT STUDY - ACCESS TO LANDS. 1. During the 2019-20 interim, the legislative management shall study access to public and private lands for hunting...

Sb 2315 - reborn after house gutting!

No one needs to panic. This three county pilot program is the very same proposal two years ago where-by three counties would perticipate in all land is considered posted. That failed. Of course four wildlife orgs signed on just now, knowing full well this will go down just like the Bill did...
