    Painting Tungsten Ice Jigs

    Tried the powder coat, but with the jigs being so small the paint essentially sealed up the hook eye and finding a clip to hold the hook while heating and dipping the jig was a chore so I went with nail polish. Maybe with the right equipment, powder coating would be the ticket.

    Didn't think about taking pics and yes. I used the head of the pin to put "eyes" on some of them. I did have to watch out for too much buildup of base layer paint though. I had to be delicate with the brush as the paint can "scrape" off into thick layers if you're not careful.

    Nope! Even in my own man cave, that wouldn't fly. I like the flooring and the rustic look, but the slick light colored trim doesn't quite go with it. Kind of like a male ballet dancer in a biker bar. It just doesn't fit in. Sorry.

    Whatever you use, make sure the product is for aquatic use. You can really F up a ponds algae populations as well as desirable plant species if you aren't careful. Those things SUCK so I hope you nuke'em to oblivion. Good Luck!!!

    Sulfur is not conducive to biological growth which is why sulfur drugs were/are used as an antibiotic. Phosphorus on the other hand is a very good fertilizer additive. I'd recommend doing some research on each of these acids before going with the most convenient option. Just a thought.
