    What brand of throttle controller do you have? Most newer ones have an end cap or rubber plug on the side of the lever where it pivots and have a simple adjustment on a friction disc, usually takes an allen wrench to do but some may be different.

    Go with E rated 10 ply tires and have piece of mind, one rock the wrong way on a C rated 6 ply tire and you will be replacing them more often. No matter the brand or ply rating on trailer tires always run them @ about 5 psi below max rated pressure for maximum life too.

    Definitely get references from them and call them, if they are reputable they can and will supply references. On a job like this I would not go with anyone not willing to supply a list of references to contact.

    Can't say on a merc but it was well worth it on my F150 Yamaha, had it done a couple years ago, engine runs better all around and gets way better fuel economy. Smoother power band throughout too.
