    Need Gun Safe

If you find a door that is a little, or a lot, to big it's not difficult to cut a bigger hole in the concrete. Just need the proper tools and I'm sure you can hire someone to do that. If the door is to small for your opening I'm sure you can find some fireproof material to fill the opening...

    Need Gun Safe

ok, that makes sense for what you want. i was just thinking of an option. How is the rest of the room constructed to make sure that part is also fire-proof? Is it concrete? Will be a nice room when you're done with it.

Ice Auger blade sharping in BisMan?

Wade, at Dakota Tackle, showed me how to sharpen Jiffy blades. Really pretty easy once you know how. Can't explain in text very well but he showed me how to get the proper angle and after that it's just rubbing back and forth with that angle until sharp.

    Pheasant Politics

WTH happened. I haven't kept up on this subject and when I check here today it's gone from a story about a couple of people running for office and what they wanted to do to help pheasants. Now, several pages later it reads like a free-for-all and people insulting each other. What has happened to...

    Need Gun Safe

Don't have an answer and don't know the layout of your house but I'm thinking that a door like you describe might cost in the range of a good gun safe. Have you looked into those as an alternative. That way when your fiance, or is it now wife, wants a bigger house you can take the safe with you.

time to pay the nc2a athletes???

Agree with ^^^^^. Students can and do receive stipends as well as scholarships. Most college sports teams lose money during the year and rely on boosters to balance the books. As far as schools not making any money on sports teams it depends on how you look at that statement. Here in ND it's...

    Cancel your Scheels Card

I'm inclined to give Scheels a little time to find an alternative. With thousands of Scheels cards in existence it's certainly not an overnight solution for them. Think about the logistics of finding another bank and then reissuing the thousands of new cards. I find it difficult to place any...

USA Womens Ice Hockey- GOLD BABY!!!!

I also stayed up but I'm not all that tired today. Advantage to being retired is being able to sleep until you wake up. Great game as was the curling this morning. USA goalie showed a lot of moxie for being 20 years old in a game of that magnitude. She not only contributed hugely to this game...

Babe of the 2018 Winter Olympics

Tessa Virtue, Figure Skater from Canada qualifies for this group. Actually Gold Medal in Dancing I think, didn't watch much but did get a good enough look of her to add her to this fine group of women.

    Ice augers

Can only comment on the augers I have owned in the past 50+years. Started with one of those spade-type augers that you turned with your own horsepower. Compared to an ice chipper and axe it worked really good when sharp. Only a 6-inch hole but never caught a fish that wouldn't fit up the hole...

Don't know you or your dog but stories like this choke me up a little every time I hear them. Never easy.

I wouldn’t have been able to hold it together either.

That might have been a reason to kneel. Most likely getting ready to barf. Agree with some above, just sing the anthem, don't add your interpretation of the music. It only make you look like a fool How bad is it when NBA players are laughing at you?

Key West Black Fin Tuna action!

We get so used to eating fish that is fully cooked but tuna is best when cooked like you had it. First time I ate fresh tuna my b-i-l cooked it on the grill and it was fully cooked. Thought it was very dry. Next time I ate fresh tuna it was cooked like yours. Could not believe the difference...

Key West Black Fin Tuna action!

That looks like fun. I find saltwater fish a lot of fun to catch. Not necessarily better than freshwater, but definitely different. Lucky for me I've never chummed but there can always be that first time. Most chummers I've been around don't seem to get over it until back on shore. Good for your...

    Walleye Recipes On the Grill

^^^^ Good idea. Smoke isn't so much of an issue unless you're doing it indoors or in a area where it could be confined. thanks for the info.

    Walleye Recipes On the Grill

Blackened Fish - Get a cast iron pan or griddle good and hot on the grill. Dip fish in melted butter then cover liberally with blackened seasoning. Place on hot pan for just a couple minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the filet. Do this outside as the hot frying pan and butter will...

    Walleye Recipes On the Grill

I actually prefer Northern Pike on the grill as I think it holds together better than walleye. Brush a mixture of butter and Hot Wing Sauce on the fish liberally and then use a grill basket (one of those things where you flip the whole clamp device instead of individual pieces).

    Old Timers Memory

The whole kit and kaboodle. Apologize if this has already been mentioned but at my age I can't remember what was at the beginning by the time I get to the end.
