    I have always been curious, where in the fish does the mercury end up, I assume the meat since there are many with arms waving. Wouldn't a bigger fish have more meat and more mercury so the mercury level per gram or what have you be the same? Anyone ever heard that the fillings in your teeth...

    Seems like another valid reason for legalization and control, so a person knows what is in there (somewhat). Of course the formaldehyde in cigarettes is an example of why "taking" anything these days has a risk.

    I have ate every walleye I have caught above about 12", unfortunately this is more a reflection on my ability to catch fish vs rampant greed that seems to be the core of most situations. I caught a 7lb personal best, ate it, it was great.

    I was thinking the other way, but see your point. My thought was non-resident is on last day of trip, and not happy with success, so rules go out the window. Maybe I am jaded from interacting with too many out of state oil field people that don't give a @#$@ about anything but themselves...

    I generally agree with this approach, but does it allow for mistakes? Or if you call is prosecution out of your hands? One thing I dislike about posting signs is how they are so easily destroyed by never-do-wells and leave a bear trap for the unsuspecting.

    Fish can feel things... ok, maybe, I'm not a scientist but to me, who cares... death for wild animals is seldom a pleasant experience for them. Cycle of life sometimes includes digestion by humans, that is all.
