    A "How To" Building Snares

The plastic tubing is for sliding over 9 or 11 gauge wire on a snare support. You can buy these in metal as well but they are specific to cable size and wire size. With the plastic ones I can push them over multiple size wire and they hold nice and tight. I bought a 100' roll from McMaster Car...

    A "How To" Building Snares

Then run the end of the cable through the lock. If you put the lock on backwards earlier you wont be able to thread the cable through, just pull the lock back off and flip it around. Here is what you will have so far. Next slide the deer stop on and crimp it with a needle nose or wire...

    A "How To" Building Snares

I mentioned in my extension building thread I would try to put together a snare building tutorial. Well I had a some time tonight to put something together. I will start out by saying this is how I do it, it is by no means the only way to build a snare and there are many other types of...

NAFA SALE!!! Time to make some money!!!............maybe.

I thought so too, normally I only have 20-25% semi's. But it is what it is, still better than when I use to sell them on the carcass for little to nothing.;:;badidea Sounds like you're right, if they are all highlighted blue in the heavy catalog, then they are all heavies. :;:cheers

NAFA SALE!!! Time to make some money!!!............maybe.

That's awesome bucks! I had 22 heavies and 19 semi's, which is almost twice as many semi's as I usually have percentage wise.

KDM, how many of yours went Heavy? The more the better, that's where you see the big jump in prices.

NAFA SALE!!! Time to make some money!!!............maybe.

That's the crappy part KDM so much is out of our hands, you really can't change the quality of the coyotes. All we can do is try not to make them any worse when we put them up. Far too many variables and things that can mess up a good coyote in the wild. Prime wise, I start killing in October...

    Lotting Letters are posted!!

KDM, those definition and descriptions cover all furs, not many of them are used for coyotes. But on most sales lotting letters they list the quality description, but it appears they left that out for this sale. arrowdem, it's really hard to explain in writing, you almost have to see it in person.

NAFA SALE!!! Time to make some money!!!............maybe.

Great job KDM, that means you not only got a good coyote but you didn't bugger it up after you caught it. My grades are about what I figured they would be for late season coyotes. Only 1 labeled, a few 1-2's and a bunch of 2's. Had lots of slightly rubbed to really rubbed coyotes in this bunch...

New FBO in "a few days"

It seems to me they released the new site way too early. It is nowhere near complete. I'm done over there anyways.

NAFA SALE!!! Time to make some money!!!............maybe.

There is a difference between tumbling and drumming. NAFA uses a huge drum to tumble all fur out pelts, and your looking at a substantial cost to build or buy something similar to what they use. It is pretty easy to convert an old dryer to a tumbler if wanted. Tumbling at home will make them...

Me too ;:;banghead. When they are available a new link will show up in the same area where the "current season receipts" link is now. It should say "lotting letter" or "lotting valuation".

NAFA SALE!!! Time to make some money!!!............maybe.

You might have been able to average $5-10 more on the January 15' sale, but you never know. I just know historically decent coyotes always average less on the September sale. - - - Updated - - - That's true, but it's usually a good coyote sale. There are usually a lot of Canadian coyotes...

NAFA SALE!!! Time to make some money!!!............maybe.

Good items will still sell OK in September. But September isn't known as a big coyote sale, so it doesn't draw as many of the big coyote buyers. The bidding competition isn't usually as high as it is in the first 3 sales. And in most cases the September sale is a cleanup sale, offering what has...

NAFA SALE!!! Time to make some money!!!............maybe.

ItemB, typically there are 4 auctions a year. January, March, June and September. Each sale has a last receiving date, so if you have your fur up there before that date they will be on the next sale. I usually ship to the first 3, if I have some I can't get up in time for the June sale I just...
