    i don't have any pics as i quit pikin many years ago, but they looked just like the pic captain has above with much smaller hooks and no plastic thingy on the top hook... i made them anywhere from 8" long for very shallow water to 18" and hooked them directly to a snap swivel on my heavy main...

    i built hundreds of these back in the day... i bought the plastic coated leader wire in bout 30# test? and the steel tube shaped crimp pieces, and the crimping tool... i would put 1 #10 or 12 treble in the loop crimped on the bottom end, leave 1 loose to slide in the middle, and a loop crimped...

    good stuff, at least the ones from bout 10 years ago... have 2 small ones for waxies and 2 big ones i used for crawlers in the summer... they are great for filling out of a flat and throwing in the cooler in the boat... they seal well and don't get as cold in the cooler, and don't leak mud or...

    i agree wild, and thank you for all the input... i really like the looks of what i'm looking at, and it affords me the ability to max out the power... that's also why i'm thinking pro xs over the v rod... i know there are faster hulled toons out there, yours included, but not for anything...

    i agree kurt... the 20' suncatcher i have is awesome, just like the layout of the suntrackers a little more in the 22, and suncatcher doesn't offer a true fishing 24... i've also been in the higher end brands and keep coming back to the suntrackers for a bigger fishing toon... and the full 10...
