    Big storms on Sunday night failed to move into Minot and instead stayed to the south. It was like they hit a wall when they reached Minot. I say there was a story from of news about cloud seeding causing it. I was really looking for a cool rain to cool the temps down but no luck!

    Quick releases are key as long as they are not a long fight especially on the bigger fish. I keep a bleeding fish no matter the size unless it is too small to clean. Got to keep up the good fishing karma.

    Lake elevations

    This rising lake levels can only mean a better smelt hatch not that the lake needs anymore food. I'm not sure if more smelt hurts the summer fishing at all but it sure puts the hammer down on winter fishing. I have heard of lots of fat in the walleyes so far this spring.

    Minot fire

    They should have let that dump burn to the ground so there would be less clean up. Garbage was piled up to the road. I bet some friendly things got burned that I wouldn't want to breathe.
