    Just finished filming a clip catching walleyes within a foot of the bank due to really high water. They weren't huge, but fun nonetheless. High water does provide some unique challenges I'll grant that.

    Might look out of state. You might be able to get an outfit from back east that will come out. Old barn wood runs a pretty penny on the east and west coasts for interior designers. Good Luck!! Hope the old gal can get a few more years of use somewhere else.

    Check EVERY current seam that's tight to the bank and I do mean tight. Within 3 ft of the bank. If the water is at least a foot deep right off the bank it's even better. Chunk and Dunk is the best method for rising water I've found as the rising water tends to dirty up the water and the fish...

    I agree, which is why I take the original hooks off and replace them with cheapy eagle claws. The eagle claws bend more when I get stuck in wood or rocks and I don't loose the lure as much as I did with the original hooks. Sounds goofy to go with a weaker hook instead of the top of the line...

    For casting cranks in a lake, pond, or res it's the standard Shad Rap for me. For day to day muddin' it's yo zuri crystal minnows (4"), shallow running shad raps, and a few husky jerks. That just about covers 95% of what I use.
