    if weight isnt an issue (ie. not doing spike camp) i recommend something with a floor, but im a wuss. I REALLY want a nice canvas wall tent for hunting out of a base camp.

    Well now that we've completely derailed this thread... I have a ColecoVision console that was my stepdads. We fire it up on occasion and play donkey kong or Mr.Do!

    i was thinking the exact same thing! The rain and wind really couldnt have happened at a better time imo. dirty those waters up a little. Last year i felt like i was fishing MN gin clear water... hence it sucked.

    ive never packed in a spike camp (yet). Usually setup a basecamp and hunt from there. Hike out in the morning, hike back at dark. Fire up the jet boil and make some instant coffee while glassing in the morning, making a fire to stay warm while taking a lunch break, i could go on. i love it.

    Manage mule deer for quality (the quality the last few years has been better than I've ever seen). I have no opinion on the management of whitetail as I don't have a dog in that fight but it seems they need to figure out just how many deer they have versus guessing.

    friend has the cabelas deluxe slicer. it works ok for the amount of meat we actually slice. I think they are around 200 ish - - - Updated - - - if I know you as well as I think I do, you're not gonna be happy with anything less than commercial grade. just bite the bullet. you can store it next...
