    Budding Trees vs. A week of Winter

    I set my sprinklers to come on at 4am last night for 10 minutes on each zone where my trees/shrubs are starting to leaf out. Hopefully that will help them a bit... Would suck to loose a years fruit on my cherries, blueberries and apples....

    Also my understanding is its 'cruel' to kill a pet cat, feral cats arent considered pets and that law doesnt apply, they are invasive species...

    I follow the collar rule also, if its got a collar I let it go, not cuz I dont think its out hunting, more cuz I dont want some kid crying when his cat disappears, and someone cares enough about it to collar the damn thing. Also I wont shoot a cat if its near a farm, maybe half mile or so radius.

    If they make rules about tossing a couple cups of corn down a hole they better get on the farmers spilling grain along the roads when they are driving their trucks around, etc. You are allowed to feed animals above water but not under, stupid.

    I guess in some states you are not allowed to 'leave' anything in the lake, which is silly as long as its organic/inert, but for those areas some people take a metal grate of some sort, chicken wire or whatever and paint it white and lower it down using rope/line/string so it can be retrieved...

    corn is probably the best/cheapest bottom whitener I have found, 50lb bag will last you a while. Could use white beans also but they are considerably more expensive.

    Ill often pitch jigs in towards the shallows when fishing early on the river and other guys in the boat wanna fish straight down. Works a charm quite often, its amazing how many fish you can find in 2-4 feet of water when everyone else is fishing 8-12 feet deep.

    Saw a weber summit NG on bisman a couple years ago for half new price, looked to be in really nice shape, only a few years old, shoulda grabbed it. I bought a new weber stainless 3.5 + 1 burner NG last summer, really enjoying it and so nice to not mess with propane anymore!

    This just depends on how high you drop it from and its drag coefficient... Im guessing it would top out around 100mph.
