    knives

Before having a discussion regarding which knives, you need to have a knock-down-dragout put-your-foot-down no-holds-barred vehement discussion about using cutting boards. If someone in the household is going to ignore knife edges and do their cutting upon plates, platters, and the like then...

7mm Rem Mag vs 300 Win Mag

I've been reloading for a good long while and don't shoot any projectiles in any rifles hunting or target with a BC of .654 or higher. The 2 hunting rounds I shoot the most have a BC of .336 and .404. Barnes TSX .257/100's and .277/140's.

Glemorainge aged in a Sherry cask, just a touch less sweet than the port cask stuff but enough sweet to take the edge off. Canadian Club used to make a Sherry cask aged Canadian whiskey as well, alas, no more........

7mm Rem Mag vs 300 Win Mag

IMO/IME, the 7 isn't much of a step up in recoil from a 270Win. My top 2 choices for projectile would be 150TTSX or 160 Partition, with 0 preference between them, just whichever the rifle would shoot the best. The 300Win is a significant step up in recoil from a 270Win. I can enjoy shooting...

7mm Rem Mag vs 300 Win Mag

What rifle do you currently own that you enjoy shooting? What rifle do you currently own that you consider uncomfortable to shoot due to recoil? I have yet to find a single word, or collection of words in polite or vulgar conversation that clearly elucidates my dislike of muzzle brakes. - - -...

What do I need for xmas?

A $30 come along is a fine tool for solo deer loading. In a pickup-box, run a length of chain, rope, or cable between the anchor points in the front of the box and hook the come along to the chain/rope/cable. For an SUV, Grandpa had a 2x4 with an eye-bolt he'd put on the front side of the...

    Someone picked the wrong home.

Food for thought: Winchester Models 1897/97, 12, 25, and Ithaca 37's are all pump shotguns that allow you to hold the trigger back and just continue to pump. The gun will go off when you hit the front of the stroke.
