    I tried RainX more than once and found that there are qualities of how bugs smear etc. that drove me nuts. Hard to explain it but I found myself preferring not using it. Anybody else try RainX and abandon it after a while? - - - Updated - - - Sorta seemed great at first and then caused issues...

    Maybe this was covered in some other thread - but 2B is now a no baiting unit. Because of a single deer tested positive in MN (it was within the 25 mile trigger of unit 2B) Science. :)

    There's a happy medium - right? A freestanding deck is also an option. Piers down to 60" - deck stands on the piers but is not attached to the house. - - - Updated - - - I plan to build deck so there's one step up into the house - so deck can rise/fall - doors still open for snow/ice.

    It’s also in a corner where there’s movement (sheetwall moves around in that corner) - I think tying it to house would expose the deck to more movement/torque than floating.
